"How often do you go grocery shopping? What's the avg. cost?"
Thu Jan-22-15 02:43 PM by Case_One

I usually go once a month and I spend about $180 monthly. I love this part about being single.

But I usually spend about another $120+ on eating out and on food during dates.

I went in that bitch 1 time... never again. White women were laying on the floor reading packaging labels.. bullying people with those strollers.

Used to go to the Whole Foods on South St. in Philly but it was always for a lunch or a blended smoothy.

They don't call it Whole Paycheck for no reason.

For a household of 3 with one being a 2 year old). I spend on average $125 a week. And, that's with couponing. Sometimes I can get it under $100. But keep in mind the two adults are eating paleo and 2 meals a day are replaced with shakes.

once a month---meats, cereals, lunchbox items (fruit snacks, chips, juiceboxes, frozen veggies, pasta, rice and potatoes...

weekly I'll go get things to go with the things I already have.

I spend about 300-400 monthly feeding 3 adults and a 4 year old

Some trips are $30 and some are $80, it averages out to about $150 a month I'd say. I shop at Save Mart which around here is a higher-priced grocery store.

Shit man you can't buy breakfast for $180 in California. Our food is expensive. I go about six times a month and I probably drop around $600 on my own stuff.

How you are you pullin off shopping once per month? Do you buy produce, dairy, or meat?

Our grocery bill is ridiculous and we recognize this, but we eat all that food every week. We have tried to pare it down bc we were sitting a 800 a month, so spending 150 at times is better that 200 all the time.

We eat fresh produce daily and have a lot of protien very little processed food is in this mix. We would like to spend less but cant seem to get there based on brands we prefer and foods we want to eat. Food should be free.

I'm grateful to have the money to spend on food bc others dont, but boy do I wish I had Link to cover some of this cost.
