all night shawty asking me questions about me, how long I been married, what kind of cologne I had on, where the weed at, you know...stuff like that.

Fast forward to the end of the night. She was oiled up from drinking, I was bidding my farewells to the crew. Came up to her, extended my hand for the handshake and the "nice to meet you" greet. This broad says "Nah, you gotta give me a hug". I figured it was harmless considering she's a drunk hugger. I go in for the church hug when she goes double arm and buries her face in my neck and starts smelling me all hard and kisses me on the neck. She then makes a scene about how I set her up by putting that sweet smell on my neck. She asks for ANOTHER hug and was holding on tight as a mugg until I felt a lil uncomfortable. She kissed me on the cheek this time.

Did she violate? I mean her bf was right there! He ain't say nothing, but I feel like she took it a bit far.

I ain't do nothing wrong, did I?

when a woman gets too frisky. Of course you can't let it repeatedly happen, but it's just unsightly to see a dude fuss about such things. It's much easier for a woman to avoid/refuse the 2nd hug (even the 1st one, really). The only thing we can do, is remove ourselves from the situation asap.

3. "Why are White people so much stronger than us?"
In response to Reply # 0

- a quote from my 11 year old cousin as we watched Hidden Colors 3.

It was one of those moments where initially, you ignore the naive comment and come up with a quick response...but it really bugged me for the rest of the duration of the film, and almost made me view these types of documentaries completely different...along with books and anything else that has the same theme of "White people completely ruined our lives."

I don't at all agree that Whites are stronger, and me and my dad told my cousin that it's not about strength, but more about malicious intent and how our cultures have always operated in a different manner. But knowing that so many Black kids feel this way early on has to kill their psyche before they can develop pride....if they ever develop it.

Even on my trip to Africa, we were at a slave castle, and after hearing hours of talk about how evil the slave masters were....my friend's brother said "White people are smart!" because of all the things they did to enslave and control us.

I can go on and on about it, but....has anyone else ever dealt with these types of comments from anyone of any age or ethnicity? Have you even felt this way?

beliefs aside to achieve their goals. Even the whole idea of an "evil genius" is sketchy. Cause non-whites who destroy a lot of stuff just for the benefit of a small minority of people are called "savages".

In response to Reply # 3

my little crock pot theory is that they needed to do what they did to survive.

europe lost a third of its population during the black plague. they had an incentive to explore and find more land and sources of labor. they also came from a religion that is inherently evangelical so it was easy for them to look down on people with different beliefs. the poor euros who used to be peasants but were bold enough to go to the New World copied the feudal system and turned it into chattel slavery. they were able to do this bc they had guns.

necessity is the mother of invention...i dont think africans needed to colonize any other place not because they/we are kinder and more respectful of other races but because africa was and still is the best place to live on earth.

we gotta stop perpetuating the notion that white people are evil geniuses and black people are more moral but naive and dumb. you find the same capacity for any human trait in any race, but a group of people become what they are due to a variety of conditions and influences.

all this in a conf wednesday post, lol

its just different degrees.

white people here come from the powerless of europe. they didnt come here for power. they came here for a better life. they ensured a better life for future generations by using what they learned from the people who maintained power over them.

any population in power is going to try to maintain that power. its human nature and a facet of survival.

when you say blk ppl did what they did to survive what are you referring to? africa had slavery and war before euros arrived, and it was about power over tribes/ethnic groups, not survival.

The White people who came to America wiped out the Natives and like you said "they used what they learned from those who had power over them"

That is the whole point of being an evil genius. They use what they learn to control those with less power than them and usually it's over someone of color.

As far as Africans who sold slaves.. well, in time they ended up getting shat on by whites who colonized them.

Even in countries where Blacks "run things" they end up working with or for Whites in the long con.

How many times have Black Americans or Africans used what they learned from Whites in power to control white people? It doesn't happen. We will use it on our own people but we won't use it to "control or fight for control" of whites.

States where Blacks are the majority should have Blacks in charge of damn near everything but we are too passive IMO. If we had the mindset of whites we would have turned on the Slavemasters or went ham once we were freed.

this needs it's own post... shouldn't be in confession wed.

The white people here aren't just the poor of Europe. Investors, speculators, and merchants came here too. And our founding fathers were influenced by the "Enlightenment" a period that kicked off conceptions of white supremacy.

Other than that I agree. I think contemporary social and global politics are better explained through the engines of history than a single races innate traits since we're lumping together a large number of peoples.

Also...Africans did colonize parts of the Arabian peninsula, so it isn't that they wouldn't have, I just think it's a matter of geography. Mali was twice as big as France and it was still surrounded by more land. It's not like Europeans could have continued to explore north.

Q has completely fell off the growth curve and only weighs 38 lbs at 7 years old. After a few visits to a pediatric endocrinologist it's been discovered he has the bone age of a 4 year old and his body is not producing enough growth hormones.

Academically Q's weakest point is writing. After writing neatly for a line or two, then his writing begins to get sloppy and after about a paragraph he has to take a break because his wrist hurts too much. It's not easy for him to keep up with the writing of 1st grade when he has the bone structure of a preschooler.

In his extracurricular activities he is grouped with 4 and 5 year olds, rather than his friends who are 6 and 7 years old. It's upsetting to him and he knows that it's because he's smaller. Q also is a rough boy, however when he rough houses with his friends (average sized 6 and 7 year olds) he gets hurt a lot.

After all of these doctor visits, Q is eligible for growth hormone therapy. It's very expensive ($15000 to $30000 a month) and in order for insurance to cover it, the child has to fail 2 growth hormone tests (which Q has failed). The pediatric endocrinologist (who is one of the best in the nation) said this is the best option for him in order to have a normal childhood and to keep up with his peers. The therapy consists of nightly injections until he reaches puberty.

I always accepted the fact that he would be small because well I'm tiny. In fact I'm the reason this wasn't discovered earlier because everyone thought his smallness was an issue of genetics not deficiency.

Thankfully he's perfectly healthy, just really small. When I speak to friends and family about this issue the kneejerk reaction is "Oh no!!! I wouldn't inject my kid with hormones!!! I don't care what any doctor says about it!" or "Why would you inject your kid every night for years just so that he can be taller, sounds vain to me!" or "He's healthy, don't put him through all that!"

I know people mean best, but it's extremely upsetting when people that don't have day to day interactions with my child, people who aren't with my child while he's doing his work and complains of pain, people who aren't with my child when he's on basketball team with 4 year olds have sooooo many opinions on what they think is best.

like you said other ppl dont' have to worry about your child or deal with him as he grows up...i would do the same. i know you aren't seeking validation but if nothing else, think of this as support...I also think you should talk to Q and see how he feels about it. weighing the pros and cons...and i only suggest this so he can learn at an early age that he has some say in what happens with his own body. this is a great lesson to teach him in that regard.

http://www.thehealthsite.com/news/how-golden-ball-winner-lionel-messi-overcame-growth-hormone-deficiency-to-become-the-best-in-the-world/

Lionel Messi or Leo Messi as he is better known, has long been hailed as the greatest to play the game. And while he did pick up the Golden Ball at the FIFA World Cup 2014, heโ€™ll be haunted by the fact the he was so close to eternal glory. Leading Argentina to the World Cup title wouldโ€™ve ended any debate about who was the greatest โ€” Messi or Ronaldo? It wasnโ€™t to be, but that takes nothing away from the fact that Lionel Messi is one of the most amazing footballers to grace the game. While his prowess on the football field is definitely awe inspiring, what very few know is that as a child Messi suffered from a condition that threatened to derail his football career.

Messi started playing football at the age of five and was soon recognized as an extremely talented player but, was diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency when he was 11. Little Leo was so into the game that even then all he cared about was whether it would stop him from playing football.

i lost my cousin between last night & this morning. not sure what time bc he was in kinshasa. i dont have details but given the unrest that erupted yesterday re: the president trying to cancel next yrs elections extend his term, he might have been killed in the melee. i dont know for sure though.
altho i was not close to him due to the distance but we spoke from time to time on facebook. he was a huge inspiration for me and one of the reasons why i have continued my goal to create and release music in lingala. he believed in my vision and his work in media was inspiring...anyway he is gone and it breaks my heart. he leaves behind a wife and two kids, a younger sister, his mother and countless friends who are pouring their hearts out on facebook as we speak. he was only 36 or 37 yrs old. i still can not believe it. RIP Guerick tokomonana lisusu...

i wanted to see a movie that could be considered a "date" movie, but didn't wanna take any women i knew cause they'd probably get the wrong idea, and i didn't wanna go solo....so i put out an ad, just seeing what would happen...the original ad included dinner possibly, and i got alot of replies, but ole girl was one of the first, and seemed serious about going...alotta women hit me up after too, but i'd already seen the movie.... anyway, we watch the movie, i walk her to her car, and that's that....she might text me later about this or that... i think we've seen about 5 or 6 movies...

that's actually not a bad arrangement. I'm also fascinated by the fact that there's an audience for that sort of innocent, social hookup on CL, and that you got a lot of respondes. my perception of the site is sort of tainted, as I only equated it with, uh, "other" sorts of hookups. Interesting.

but there's this woman that lives in my town, that i've chatted off and on with for years and never met, and we hooked up off CL, just off some sounding board stuff...and i went out with one lady off CL on a whim...it didn't go any further, but it was cool

In response to Reply # 0

I could never host parties cuz it was too cold. By that time I hit high school, we were normally on vacation and honestly I just wish the day would come and go. Friends and fam are painting me into a corner just like every other year though...

My sister (who's a little estranged right now) sent me something on Groupon. Now I have to talk to her.

My mother's begging me to celebrate and she actually wanted to grab something for me but I told her she could give me a roti lesson and we'd be square

And all my friends are asking when we can turn up. I highly doubt anything is going to yield though because it never does. Last year my ex pressured me to throw a small shindig at a bar but shitty weather prevailed and I ended up eating enough special cupcakes to laugh my face off.

The only thing I've ever really wanted for my birthday is peace, quiet, unlimited weed, unlimited cuddles, and unlimited sex. I'll try not to be a Debbie but I already gotta work this weekend so I know I'll be rather cranky

take your time

celebrate what you want when you want
everyone else it thinking of themselves
so no matter how much you feel you are disappointing them
its YOUR damn birthday
yes i've done this to my mom
start gearing them up because its going to be more and more about you because you will have less and less chances for that

Started blogging again...http://bjafaceeverythingandrecover.blogspot.com

I'm trying to stop my procrastination (d*mn ADD/ADHD), its an every day process.

My back is sore...I've been going hard at CrossFit and today is my rest day...THANK GOD!!!!

Potty training is a b*tch! I know all parents have to go through it. We were doing great last week. She was going every day, several times a day (except number 2). And, I was giving her m&ms as a reward. Now, the m&ms aren't enough. She's telling me, "NO!" So, I'm going to go with the prize bin approach and hopefully this will make her go to the potty more. Darn her for getting a backbone!

I want to talk to him and discuss this book
discuss how it relates to my situation now
how it related to us once upon a time

I'm not for that fuck shit
it's a red flag
and best that he is out of town for three weeks
emails and whatsapp messages will
help solve all the questions in my head

I'm so mad at this university
how does a foundation drop in a building
and you are okay with us staying in the building
with visible cracks on walls and cracks in floors
I really hope someone reports it to the Tribune

The thing I'm supposed to do. And now I'm... scared?

Because it doesn't match what I envisioned. I'm just not sure how I feel about it.

So I'm going to start with some volunteer work and feel it out, see if this is really it.

I can't even tell anyone. So I just... I dunno. I'm tired of being lost out here, though.

health ain't as bad as I thought. but I can't rest easy at all.

and as such I can only be "cool" within limits. the good is that I've somehow gotten back to the things I used to enjoy for the first time in months.

lol, I went to the barbershop dressed like my avatar (btw, that dude stole my style, not the other way around) -- got invited to a birthday party this weekend by one of the girls there.

so apparently all I have to do is not dress like a bum, lol.

whatever. the suck part of this is that I absolutely gotta stay away from drinking for this whole affair. I'll just buy someone something to drink.

lets' say it's nail polish...and i have 4 nail polishes on my dresser. They come over and leave and I realize I have 3. Think nothing of it. The next time they come over I have 6 on my dresser, then 5 when they leave...now it's like am I tripping? This happens over the course of a few years and I say something and they laugh and deny it. They it happens again, and i know the specific polish they took. So I look in their bag and see it. With the exact same name and all. Now I'm pissed because are you really stealing polish from me? why can't you get your own? Like how petty is this?!?! (*note it's not polish but something equally petty). I was tempted to take the polish back the last time (in Dec) but I put it back and didn't say anything. However, another one of my polishes is missing. I don't know if they took it...almost don't want to know...but for God's sake, I spend my hard money on polish...and you just take it for whatever reason and don't even offer me any money but instead want to bitch and complain about why you're upset with me. You stealing from me but want respect? Wow. No matter how this plays out, I will be the bad guy so suffice to say I won't say shit to this person but trust I'm not going to make it that easy to keep taking from me when I give more than enough to this person.

I tried to get my ear pierced (HEY TARA) while in Hawaii because I just wanted to get it done. I made up my mind and want to do it before I punk out. I don't even wear earrings but I really want this particular piercing.

I also want a new tattoo. I have it picked out.

Hawaii was the best decision I ever made. I claimed it last Jan and made it happen this Jan...I have decided to go to a new place every year for the rest of my able bodied life! there are so many countries, so much to see...even if I stay in america, I'm going. Next year I decided it will be Cuba. Thanks Obama

i don't think it's worth a friendship...but I do think that the fact that they keep doing it after I already pointed out that I *knew* they were doing it is disrespectful. like i know why they arent' just asking me "yo can i have this..." but to me it seems like to me you could ask your manicurist for some polish. instead of taking mine.

why would you keep someone that has NO problem stealing from AND lying to you around?
anyone who steals from you and has the nerve to get aggy when you confront them is NOT YOUR FRIEND.

"why would i do that?"
"that's mine..."
"I got the same one..."
"why you going through my stuff..."

and then you're trying to defend yourself like no i know this is mine and they are like nah yo...can be 100% sure? even if i say "the serial #s are the same as my polish, that mark on it, i put it there..." they always got an excuse. yes there's a possibility that it's their item from home...that's why i made sure on several occasions that it was MINE.

i keep letting it slide out of love...and they think i dont' care about them but if I didn't care about my friend then i wouldn't let dumb shit like you stealing from me keep rocking...i would have been cut them off but instead, i'd rather they just stop.

but yeah i think...if they lie about something so stupid as this shit, they probably lie about a whole lot more. and that's what's upsetting.

Of course my boss cancelled the meeting 10 minutes before it was to start. And then an hour later, an all-staff email went out congratulating the many people who are not me and, thus, have been promoted. LOL. It's like a twisted joke at this point. The meeting has been rescheduled for tomorrow, but I won't hold my breath.

I need to tell young Jamaican dude that it's not going to work. He's so green and sweet and infatuated, and we're just in two different places in our lives. I am too old to be trying to make it work with somebody still living the West Indian immigrant struggle life. But it's so hard to turn away the most convenient and compatible cuddle buddy that a guy could have this winter.

Meanwhile, I have cancelled twice on the dude that I AM excited about, smh. He's in the same industry as me and says he understands, but I don'the want him to lose interest. We're supposed to finally get together on Friday. He had me at quoting Biggie lyrics during our first conversation. I'm anxious to see what our chemistry is like.

I hate how much my body continues betraying me.
I've been PMSing so badly ..like to new lows
Day one I was so angry and suspicious of everyone and everything I opted to eat cake and go to bed (ALL DAY)
I've been feeling really low and in a dark place since then..I'm choosing to blame pms instead of thinking of anything else
with all that said I feel super alone and realize I've hit a point in my life where I feel I'm constantly wondering what decisions I have made that I have led me to where I am. I am not satisfied with my social circle -social life? yes social circle..no I miss having a best friend and I miss being with people who I trust completely and who I feel have my best interest at heart. Instead, I am around people who while I think may be good people I don't trust them to always have my best interest at heart nor do I think really care about me. They aren't supportive in the ways that I am used to and spend their days spewing negative statements that make me feel uncomfortable and feed into my already slightly neurotic tendencies and thought processes. I hate that in all my social circles I feel like an extension-an outsider invited in with no one person being my 'homie' who would have my back. I constantly feel misjudged and on occasion attacked for what I say. I think ultimately I just miss friendships from the past-I miss being around people who didn't feel the need to inform me of the things wrong with me make rude snappy comments to me and then cover it up with 'oh we joking' nah you ain't. I need to consistently remind myself that you will almost always be the rule not the exception-if you observe someone speaking about a friend in negative terms-don't assume they won't do the same to you. If you see someone who picks up and drops people (and deny ever picking them up) don't think they won't do the same to you.
So .. what do I do? Find a new circle? downgrade position of certain people? I just want to be on equal footing with people and not be more invested in friendships than others.
I just wanna go to bed and wake up in July.

I've decided to put my energy into traveling more. Fuck it.

I started planning some trips and it's giving me some much needed life. Just looking at all the things I plan on doing that I've never done before has helped a lot. I was talking to this guy I've been dating and he told me to "too much free time can drive you insane"

Simple advice but he's a 100% right. I do better at life when I'm all over the place...I feel like once I step out of my comfort zone everything else will fall into place...hopefully

I don't believe I'll ever go along with someone's right to do it over my right to not have to see it.
I should be able to wake up and go to bed without seeing another man's underwear.
Had someone argue that sagging pants are today's version of afros in the 70s. BULLSHIT!
I can't go for that. No can do.

January is sooo slow.

Got into it with club manager. Douchebag.

Put together a live show, should be dope.

The good weather (til now) since Sunday brought me back to life.

Haven't had any meat in 2015.

Was close to a brisket binge last week. Crisis avoided lol.

- i need to move. a new space and some new energy is much needed right now.

he always comes back. Always.

But now I'm starting to resent myself for not being strong enough to resist it. I'm learning thought. Finding others to occupy my time helps tremendously.

is knowing that 99% of that is them doing it simply because they know they can get away with it and not because of any real remaining love or affection.
Once I began to understand the tactic, it became easier bit by bit to let it all go.

here for dis.

I like the movie Big Fish.
My Pop Pop has been telling us stories for years about his life. His stories along with several other relatives have given me a unique perspective of how things work in the world. They are very much like Big Fish. I've never doubted his stories, they have actually led me to doubt the news as reported.

In my own Big Fish moment I googled him to find something. I came across one the minutes from one of his hearings. It played out just as he's said. As I read his words I could feel myself glowing with pride. He's definitely leaving some big shoes to fill and I am so incredibly honored that he thinks so highly of me.

In response to Reply # 0

Got this homegirl ive been knowing for a couple of years now and we chop it up on the regular. Never smashed before because i just wasn't attracted to her like that. Not my type of girl lookwise hence why i can talk uninhibitedly about everything. She be telling me about the guys she be smashing and it aint a thing. Like i said she just a homegirl so we stay cool. Well id had been going thru a little drought lately and i asked her if she could help me out. By help me out she knew what i meant. She balked at first and then got silent as shit. So i didn't press the issue. Then out of the blue she told me to come through on ((last)Saturday before she had to go to this birthday party for her friend's mom. I came through and she's sipping on moscato and looking nervous as shit. It was a little awkward i admit. So to break the ice i just pulled my d*ck out and sat down on the couch like nothing. Caught her off guard but she came over and sat next to me and started stroking that mf. From there we took it to the bedroom and it was on. So to make a long ass story short, she and i snapped right back to being homies. She was like we shouldnt discuss this moving forward and i agreed. I like that about her. Shes a real trooper.
