this hymn used to scare and confuse me when i listened to and thought about the lyrics as a shortie. of course i now know it's full of symbolism and metaphor and i get it. but damn...as a kid this song was too much for me. for some reason i woke up out of a fever dream singing it this morning. i can either blame the TheraFlu or consider it a Damascus Road moment. it'll depend on what's on my mind when i awake from my next fever dream, probably later today.
