I only saw their monologue & the crowd work was cute + funny at times but the Cosby joke was about the method he used to rape women wasn't funny or edgy (aka Hannibal did it better b/c it highlighted Cosby's shittiness as a human AND was funny). Anyway, people better at the Internet than me did I miss a good thinkpiece on "our" feminist faves fuckin up or nah??
Also, is it ironic/post-feminist or (tongue firmly in cheek) or plain gross that Lena Dumham laughed heartily at the Cosby joke??

Question marks b/c I'm not sure but he made a 'don't leave ya drink 'round me' joke which packs the same shitty punch 'haha, rapin broads is funny b/c *pudding pop voice*' as 'Sleeping Beauty just thought she was getting coffee w/ Bill Cosby.'
They hosted last year when Woody won the LAW, did they joke about him raping his daughter as a child?

She had her problematic moments but I fucked w/ Cho back in the day...from her sitcom-standup-book(s).
Further, I thought N. Korea didn't produce the hackers so why even do the bit?? It's like ok, it's cute to passively shit on murderous dictators...I'm on board but umm, were there any Asians of any region on stage as presenters/nominees/ shit, how about seat fillers?? A mess.

may have been there. I really do want to know what the anti-asian hollywood thing is all about. Is it strictly numbers? Meaning audience testing proves Asian leads just don't bring in the dollars?

without real repercussions. Mexicans too. You can crack jokes on them all day. See Arrested Development which did laZy racist jokes on Asians and Mexicans.

I think they fit the characters seeing as how it was the more loathsome ones who seemed to make them. I'm not talking about the Netflix episodes though (in which case I'd agree).
When I talk about the anti Asian thing, I'm referring more to how Asians (males in particular) are either not leads in any capacity or if you go a few years back were just blatantly disrespected by having white dudes do these bad caricatures of them e.g. Breakfast at Tiffany's or the original Hawaii Five O.

3 things
1) If you gon assassinate a prominent Black man, you better replace him. In Hollywood, there are hardly any Black People as it is. Seeing Tina Fey and Amy assassinate Cosby infront of all them snobby white elitists, didn't sit well with me. And I don't even fuck with Cosby like that, but at the end of the day, he's still Black.
2) I noticed some double standard-hypocrisy from feminists. Are rape jokes funny or not? Make up your mind.

Cosby assassinated his career by his own actions....I'm not going to go tribal on this one.....And I'm known to get pretty tribal....

When u have Cosby himself making rape jokes just last week specifically about his own current legal issues then all bets are off...
>3) I don't find Tina Fey and Amy funny anymore.
They were pretty funny to me...

Just understand, I'm not defending Cosby, I'm only defending Black People.

The crazy thing is I would be more on that "Bill" side of things by bringing up the fact that Roman Polanski still gets applaud at events like the Golden Globe. That shit is a major double standard that needs to be talked about...
But that said, you could tell the GG room was uncomfortable with the Cosby joke...There was a heavy gasp in the audience.
I laughed though....
