"Are the French killings somewhat justified?"

Perhaps "justfied" isnt the right word but hear me out..

As the journalists were exercising their freedom of speech, so were the terrorists exercising their freedom of expression the way they saw fit.

Sure its extreme to us, but its just to them. who decides what the appropriate repercussions should be?

like hows this different from when kids in school here are bullied constantly til they finally snap and react violently? why dont we say the bullies are exercising their freedom of speech huh?

Again, I dont condone the violence but I kinda understand

in that, if you're inclined to hate the victims, it's easier for you to justify the killing

in an interview on french television, one of them mentioned how they were soldiers and didn't kill civilians and that it's western powers who kill civilians.... Charlie hebdo aint got shit to do with bombings in Iraq and Afghanistan...

that's "considered" just bc the person who did the harming is being directly retaliated against.

in the other...it's not only targeting an ubiquitous assailant...the amount of collateral damage is so enormous it's more like

beating up the bully...and everyone they've ever known
