I'd stay at home. I could stay plenty busy with housework, childcare, hobbies. (2 votes)Vote

I was a SAHM for almost five years. I liked it, but I feel more confident and strong when I'm out engaging with adults and contributing financially.

but I transitioned from full-time to part-time working from home to giving it up altogether after our 3rd kid in 5 years. To many little people to effectively work from home. Our youngest started all-day kindergarten in the fall and I find more than enough to do to keep me occupied while they are in school.

I might feel differently if I'd never "successfully" worked outside of the home before giving it up.

Why do you ask?
