The problem with reddit now is that it's gotten so popular that a lot of the subreddits get filled with repeat content. That and a lot of subreddits that used to be maintained by fans are now run by the companies and the content has changed or is censored by the mods.

i think just being my perspective as a white person when other white people start to feel more emboldened by this and start to talk the "poor us white people mantra" as i call it seems to be getting worse.
Seems to be people that have nothing to complain about, omg we got a black guy as a president the sky is falling. poor white people! Its they have all this outrage all of a sudden.

how those images come into being. essentially people are taking screenshots of the image without the joke then hastily editing its size on a phone app or their computer's basic image viewer so they can add their own joke, or instead of saving the image on their phone they're taking a screenshot and sending that to their friends and then that keeps happening with each friend rather than any of them saving the image itself and the resolution just goes completely to shit eventually in both cases.
