this looks like call of duty: the movie. you may as well watch a stream of someone playing through CoD campaign on twitch

i wonder if there are any film-specific advantages to making a movie in this style. it seems really limiting

I don't wanna play Call of Duty. Or watch other people play it. This, however, has actors and a story about a cyborg trying to save his wife and Sharlto Copley is the sidekick/mentor/whatever. I like it. And I hate those games. Partly cause if you don't get far, there's no story really. This time, we're guaranteed a story.
