Many of them are upper middle class to rich. Most of them are young women. Some are spoiled and insufferable, others are brilliant and engaged. I think young people are very open to being schooled (especially by someone I their 30s) about better tactics and strategies to combat racism and other social ills. It's all about the way we go about it.
And I didn't say talk to her. I said SHOW her how it's done. The point is it's the quiet cooning cowards who wanna sit idly by and criticize. If there's a right way to be speaking up for the concerns of Black folks, why have so many of yall (them, whoever) been quiet this whole damn time? Waiting for a 21 yr old who's still figuring life out to lead the charge? Makes these naysayers look doubly worse than she does.

I know some of yall like the one-liners, but you gotta say more words sometimes to be clear wth you talkin about. If you mean people without a platform are criticizing her, then ok... but there are mad people on here saying she's wrong, but don't ever speak up on these issues. If they do, they don't say what she's saying, so how can they understand her passion or anger if they don't even share her views?

But to build off someone else's reply in here, a lot of her generation is staying asleep in conversations like these. Her uber-aggressive emotional tactics may not be the tools that directly impact some change, but they may inspire someone else to approach the topic with a better strategy and more tact.
I see where you coming from. I can't speak for everyone but i wasn't hipped to her like that before that interview and after hearing her stance i rock with her. I respect her stance it might not perfectly fleshed out idea but she is conscious and aware of what's going on.

i disagree, i think she's really likeable. she speaks from a place of passion and intellect and i know she really lives by her principles. at times she comes off as a bit brattish, but, meh, it happens.
the guy she was "arguing" with came off more unlikeable to me, what a sap. even if she did punch him in his stupid cracker face he'd probably ask if he could do anything to make it more pleasurable for her, before apologising for interrupting the beating.
