"Weird Familial Trends"

Are there any weird trends in your family? Like everyone's name starts with a certain letter (all of my siblings, except for my 1 half sibling, have names that start with the same letter), or all the women in your family are light but the men are all dark, or some shit like that.

For my family it's pretty much a given that the men date/marry older women.

I'm not sure how the fuck that got started, but my dad, all of my uncles, and my brother are married to older women. My grandfathers and great uncles, the exact same thing. At the moment I'm talking to a woman from work who's about 7 years my senior and I have a date with a woman who is 9 years older than me next week.

What's weird is that shit isn't intentional. I'm not going out of my way to date older women, and I've dated women younger than me...it's just how this shit works out.

Okay enough about me, I want to get into your weird family traits.

the first:
starting with my greatgrandmother, the first daughters in any particular generation would always get pregnant/become a young mother with the succeeding generation bearing kids a year older
i.e.
bisabuela had abuelita at 17
abuelita had my oldest uncle at 18
my mom had me at 19
I got pregnant at 20 but miscarried.
I ended the cycle as I'm now 30 with no children

now the other pattern is
somehow the American born or raised girls end up associating with the Bronx somehow
I started that trend when I moved out of my mother's house at 19 to live with my then bf and his mom up there but I spent so much time there that it was like I lived there anyways.
when my cousin closest in age to me (5 years younger) ran from her dad's house, she went up there
then another cousin close in age ran up there too
my 19 year old cousin (5 years younger's little sister) is going to UPenn now and where is her man from?
take a wild guess.

We all must've been Bronxites in a past life, makes no sense otherwise.

here for dis.

nothing of the fact that all of you women ended up with some cat from the Bronx/going to the Bronx until someone pointed it out to you?

they tied string around the base of the finger - cuts the circulation off - and then they just fall of

pretty wild to find shriveled up fingers in the crib, but yeah - thats how its done

besides years of ridicule, of course. would they function as regular, albeit very little, fingers?

and the original handprints from the hospital, they got all 12 represented?

sorry if i'm asking too many questions, this is fascinating.

I don't even know how to tell a child's age by height because I'm so
used to kids that are a head taller than everyone in their class.

We're all tall. I have a sister that's 5'8" and that's still 4"
taller than average, and her son's 6'8" and still in high school.

Most of us have big hands (and feet) too. I'm so proud of my big piano hands, lol.
