i'm basing this off multiple conversations with aka's and delta's i know over the last couple days
after a non greek told me this happens (not sure how they knew)

this is blowing my mind
i knew you could get beat up or forced to do dumb shit
but being commanded to have sex with dudes you don't know and ain't interested in is a little too far imo
sometimes it could involve gang bangs and everything i heard ("trains" as they put it)

a lot of this stuff is done in private, but is it worth looking into just banning this stuff if everything isn't transparent?
upenn banned deltas for years, and my friend wouldn't tell me why
i wouldn't be surprised if a sexual assault was involved. otherwise why wouldn't she tell me? she probably knew i was fittin to judge like shit
someone from another school told me a girl went missing while crossing and was never found and some ppl on campus suspected the line(?) may have accidentally killed her and did something with the body
that sound like some urban legend shit but they so secretive when shit goes wrong i guess you have to consider it because the members may feel compelled to keep shit on the low


other shit i learned:
u have to pay dues. if you don't you may be cut off. (i know an aka with no aka friends......because she won't pay her dues...wtf)
white greeks don't be gung ho post graduation. black friend in white frat told me this. now that i think about it i never saw a 60 yr old white lady throwing up a skeewee or whatever the hand symbols are called

I was a little heated because I expected these rich mofos to be in a hotel suite and I'm sipping out a plastic red cup.

I kinda see why as a grown adult one would want to still go on with that mess since as you get old, your social circle gets smaller and smaller and its harder to get and maintain friendships. But me on a personal level, I shudder thinking that GROWN ADULTS would still partake in that when they are well outside of the school/dorm environment.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I understand that urban legends are part of the game in terms of black greek life, but this is not even remotely true.

When you enter and as you proceed through your process you are always reminded that you have a choice. No organization can claim to be prestigious and historic and have a rape associated with it as port of it's indoctrination.

Like I said everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I am not here to debate what anyone will swear makes sense to them (regardless of how far fetched it sounds) but I can assure you that greek life does not embrace or condone rape or sexual assault of sexual violence or any kind in any situation.

As far as being ostracized for not paying dues, not that may be what these individuals mentioned to you or anyone, but no one is ostracized for not paying dues. As a matter of fact one of the biggest challenges that black greek organizations face is not having enough members pay dues after they join.

a lot of greeks at my school were divided by the real (insert org name here) and the "skaters/paper/fakers/whatever"..
This was in most cases the sororities though.
