"tell me about the last thing that you found amazing"

the last time I was truly amazed by anything was the first time I ever saw my little brother run.

Some of you have met him
most of you have not
I'm 9 years older but he is at least a full foot taller
I knew he ran cross country in HS but due to circumstances I could never attend any of his meets and this always made me very sad.

Well last year I finally got to see him run live and direct
We got off the train at Main Street and he had to take a bus back to the Ave so he could catch a second bus back to Long Island.
I saw his bus coming so I told him and began to run

MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
He started running and left me in the dust!
He was so fast and graceful.
Made it to the bus in literally 1 minute. It felt like I blinked and he was gone. I actually stopped running to process what I had just seen. My little brother, the same boy who was born 4 months premature. The same little boy that doctors said would not survive the night he was born now had the feet of Mercury himself.

I teared up after we said our goodbyes
He doesn't know that
but now you do.

here for dis.

the cleaning lady just came in my office....before she left I grabbed my wallet and gave her all the cash I had saying "for Christmas"

the smile on her face was awesome

damn near a 1/2 hour.

it didn't fly away and I didn't make any abrupt or sudden noises to make it take flight.

Easily my 2 year old. She just surprises me everyday.

We went to the gym a few days ago and her dad was finishing up his Muay Thai workout and she saw her dad doing over the dummy burpies and she screamed out in the gym, "Be careful, Daddy! Are you okay?"

Or when I pick her up from daycare (she only goes 2 hours while I work out) and I ask her what she did and she tells me in detail! "Mommy, I ate macaroni and cheese, and pineablles and drank berry juuice...and I played with the dollhouse and went slide, and danced!"

She amazes me just about every day. What got me today is that she tried to argue with me as to why I should sit and my computer and put on YouTube so that she could watch her Sesame Street videos. SMH.

Love this girl. 😍

that's when you know shit is fucked up
but me being me i think the fed investigation is just for show and nothing will come out of it

shit was fkd up when i got there in a racial tension sense
(teachers not used to dealing with so many black kids wilding out on said black kids. during the late 80s early 90s there was a black migration up from nyc)
but the actual education was still quality
now it's just all the way fkd up. barely any after school programs, sports and music and art
cut. its crazy.

the numbers assigned also have to do with the latitudinal and longitudinal placement on the U.S. map as well

like they were "freaking out" about where I-99 placed is for example, because of it. 99 should be east of I-97, but a politician broke all kinds of convention to get its name

also how some two-digit Interstate Highways have the same number but aren't connected (I-76 in Colorado vs. I-76 OH/PA/NJ; I-74 OH/IN/IL vs. I-74 NC)
