I'm pretty much an ex-druggy. But I've been clean for nearly 2 years. *Horray for me* but I've been smoking tree tough for the past two weeks and I've written about 30 pieces of material. I write fiction.

Many people swear by it, but I suppose that occurs because most things are enhanced/elevated/amplified when intoxicated. A single note can sound majestic when intoxicated and thus your level of self appreciation is deceiving.
Art is a discipline and should be treated as such. I would recommend to clear your mind, meditate, and take a walk in nature if you can before you begin.
If you make tree's a regular part of your creative process you will not want to do it when sober, and will find it to be a dull experience.

IU smoke trees lol. Not for creativity,m to settle my overactive brain/imagination. I toil through hundreds of different ideas per day. I will puff to settle my thoughts and focus them. I don't need it to actually write, however... just to settle my brain down enough to write.
I usually have to wait a good 10-15 after puffing before I can start.

For example, Adderall helps me focus. But it doesn't make me more creative. If anything, it might slightly hamper that part of my brain. It's an imperfect trade-off.

I think I mistyped...or misread the direction of the thread lol.
It's not so much a creative lull as it is just getting off my ass and applying these ideas. I feel a little burnt out toward the end of the workday and could use something to help me focus when I get home to work on my projects.
