"Your work place in December: to what degree does work basically stop "
Lol
Seems like half of the ppl up here right now are putting up Christmas decorations, another quarter seem to all be manning charity fundraising tables lol
Some of us are in year end "training" . Holiday party planning and "goody" days are the norm right now
Also the level of cackling laughter has gone up exponentially.
It's like this every year. It seems like a few ppl are working but yeah...kinda not lol
Its Awesome
what about ur office or work place?
prototype
stand ur ground, believe in urself, believe in love, prepare urself for love, remove the negativity from ur life, and accept the love u kno u deserve

gotta get ready for holiday parties!
but can i use this as an opportunity to complain about a coworker?
i am SICK and TIRED of hearing about santa
this overly grown ass woman keeps talking about santa and how she is going to sit on his lap and has brought in all these unnecessary ass decorations for the office. every other word out of her mouth is 'santa'

but: a. my boss's boss's assistant dropped the ball badly when she didn't forward the memo with our A/P cut off date so now mad invoices that were supposed to be paid this fiscal year will now be paid in 2015 and therefore fucking up budgets, reforecasting, etc.
b. HQ must be bored as fuck because they keep sending out these retarded ass spreadsheet projects for us to work on. And no they don't care what we have going on in the satellite offices, they want what they want when they want it.

I'm on a deadline this week, so my team is pretty busy. However, next week should be slow, then I'm on vacation until next year.
It's also a "transitional" time for my department. My team just got moved under a new manager last week, and a bunch of people in his time are getting shuffled around into new jobs. Plus, he's gone all this week on offsite training, and will go be gone next week in Europe for more job stuff. So he basically told everyone that basically we were in a holding pattern until 2015, and to spend the rest of this year doing "house-cleaning" stuff, like finish required training and self-evaluations that were required to do.

we don't do holiday parties anymore and never did decorations but most of the ppl in my group have been here for so long they have mad vacation time so this week is the last for a lot of folks. next week is my last week but i'm still getting work piled on me
