"Piggybacking off my last post: Does ur company offer a Bonus Structure?"

What's it like? What's the percentage of your pay? like 10%? 15?? 20??? Do taxes wipe out virtually the entire amount once you get your bonus? Do you save your bonus, invest with it, pay off bills, down payment for a house/condo, travel, or trick off with it?

I've never ever had a job that offers a bonus, so just curious. And envious of those who get one.

yeah sometimes, but don't get used to it.

If mine isn't 3-5x what it was last year, I'm bouncing at earliest opportunity.

EDIT: YOOOOO I just got an email about an end of the year "thank you" of an Amazon gift card.

If this Jelly of the Month club ass shit is replacing my real bonus I'm gonna act a fool.

i still blame hip-hop.

last year, was like 12% of salary. there are also other aspects involved such as how much work I did, how well the dept did and of course how the company did. it'll be smaller this year cuz they changed the structure, but I'll take it. I paid off bills with it. doing the same this year.

yeah, taxes take a good chunk. I look at the positive side tho. I make good money AND get a bonus? no complaints here when so many folks got way worse situations.

Y'all buy those labels, I was born supreme

Yes, and like TR808 said, its about 45% off the top, broken down like this:

• 25.0% - Federal taxes
• 9.62% - State (New York)
• 4.25% - Local taxes (New York City)
• 10.23% - State (California)
• 7.65% - Medicare and Social Security

My bonus this year is 27% of yearly salary, its nice, but i have a ton of colleagues here who get 100% salary bonus. It's nuts lol

For a bonus? Which is deemed "discretionary"? I highly doubt it. Unless you have it in writing with an offer letter

they get the huskiest bonuses outside of wall street from what i've seen
was a consultant there couple of years ago and cats making say $50k were getting like $25k bonuses every yr
pretty impressive ratio assuming it's consistent across income levels

In response to Reply # 0

ours come in june tho
last year i got a bonus on top of bonus.

i chop it up with a lot of anadarko ppl
they get a regular individual bonus up to like 15%
but then they get a company wide bonus depending on where their company ranked against their competitors marketshare.

if they are #1 then they get like 20% bonus on top of the individ bonus so it can be 35%
after #6 on the marketshare list aint no extra bonus

O+G be having hefty bonuses like Wall Street
Houston is actually the Wall Street of Texas
