I feel like I've had better in Chicago and even NYC than anything I got in Memphis.
But Gus's Fried Chicken is one of the better food experiences I've ever had. I went to the original location near the National Civil Rights Museum and the chicken was sorta transcendent. Can't wait to have an excuse to be near Memphis to go back.

I agree with you completely, Gus was incredible
So far I've only tried Corkys and rendevous Q , they were good but not the transcendent experience I'd hoped for, that's why I've posted this question.
