google ads use your cookies so you get things related to your browsing history. so if you clicked on anything that was selling shirts, you might get shirt ads

It's literally an Okayplayer shirt with a pentagram. It's done in the same manner as Slayer's logo.

And Slayer is a multiplatinum metal band, one of the icons of the genre, with a great visual legacy that is prime for pilfering and appropriation.

Oh yeah and also the powers that be at Okayplayer apparently don't believe in whatever sacrilige/sacred cows you are apparently scared of offending by this.

I remember not all that long ago (5 years ago perhaps) we discussed
this symbolism - at length - and the vast proportion of people wouldn't
even admit that the symbols were recurring in pop culture, let alone have
a discussion as to the history and meaning behind the symbolism. Now, it's
so widespread that the inverted pentagram has become something you
just see and K.I.M. like other recognizable trademarks.

But yea, there's absolutely nothing going on with Prometheus I mean
Lucifer Lux Entertainment, nothing significant to how goats are sidereal beings
associated w/ Pan, horned gods. Nothing to the horned hand symbols, or
the OVO owl, or Kendrick's verse on "Buried Alive", or utilizing music
and entertainment to channel forward certain stimuli via expertly crafted
music emitting mhz-specific vibratory tones, incantations, and vibrations.

Nothing to it, at all. Matter fact, let's all clown Sha for bringing this up
because OBVI she's an IDIOT.

Jose E. Reyes Gouged Out Girl's Eye Before Killing Her: Prosecutors

HOUSTON (AP) — A Houston-area teenager accused of killing a girl in a satanic ritual had gouged out her eye as she begged for her life, prosecutors said Monday during the opening of the teen's capital murder trial.

Opening statements began in the trial of 18-year-old Jose E. Reyes, who prosecutors say is responsible for the February death of 15-year-old Corriann Cervantes in a vacant apartment southeast of Houston.

A 16-year-old boy also is charged with capital murder and is expected to stand trial later.

Reyes, who was 17 at the time of the crime, faces a life sentence if convicted of capital murder but would be eligible for parole after 40 years, according to the Houston Chronicle (http://bit.ly/160m4lr ). If he's convicted of murder, the jury would determine his punishment.

Prosecutors contend the two teens were hoping to make a deal with the devil when they disfigured the girl's body, including carving an upside down crucifix on her stomach.

"Whether or not the devil was involved, what happened in that apartment was sadistic and inhumane," Harris County Assistant District Attorney John Jordan told jurors. "He said he had no regrets."

Jordan told jurors Cervantes and the alleged assailants, who attended school together, went to the apartment to have sex after a late night of alcohol and marijuana use at a friend's apartment. He said the scene descended from consensual sex to a brutal beating with the heavy porcelain lid of a toilet tank.

"There were pieces of porcelain embedded in her face," Jordan said.

He said the teens used a screwdriver to stab Cervantes in the face and torso dozens of times.

Defense attorney Jerald Graber told the newspaper the defense team would "zealously represent" Reyes.

Many preachers preach regularly that not every person who goes to church (or who have been going to church FOR YEARS) is a christian.

Nothing about "cops" makes any religious inferences about them any easier or accurate.

If I told you many preachers say ALL THE TIME that some people go to church FOR YEARS and don't become ACTUAL christians.....

what makes you think I'm going to label the "cops" who are involved in these shootings christians just because Christianity is the #1 religion in the USA?

If I can't label people who go to church for years christians, I can't label American police officers christians any easier.

Why would your stance be that that is an easy assumption/inference to make?

It is an assumption you WANT TO MAKE. And you know WHY you want to make that assumption.

However, I don't think he hated it then. Their other guitarist Jeff Hanneman (RIP!) on the other hand *was* a huge fan of the early Def Jam/mid-80's Hip-Hop stuff and it was partially because of that they went with Def Jam for their major label deal. Pretty sure drummer Dave Lombardo dug Hip-Hop too...

¤Slayer's first few albums were released on metal indie Metal Blade.

Slayer signed to Def Jam for their third full-length ''Reign in Blood'' and their next album ''South of heaven'' was also on Def Jam originally.

What happened then however was that Rubin and Russel Simmons split up and Rubin took Slayer with him for his ''new'' label Def American who of course mostly released rock even if they did some Hip-Hop as well (Geto Boys come to mind) whereas Simmons/Def Jam continued in an ''urban'' (LOL!) direction, even signing R&B-acts which Rubin never wanted to do. Actually, the signings of Slayer and Oran Juice Jones in 86 or so might be the first examples of how the Rubin/Simmons dreamteam started to splinter because they both represented stuff that took the label in new directions that caused friction between the two moguls.

And then of course, Rubin sometime in the 90's, cut his last remaining ties with Def Jam by shortening the labels name to just American.

Basically, depending on which versions you have, the two Def Jam Slayer-albums will have either a Def Jam, Def American or American logo but the OG pressings were on Def Jam.

In other words, Slayer never really ''left'' Def Jam; no, they became Def American/American by default by simply following Rubin who of course was the guy who wanted them to the label in the first place; if I remember correctly, Simmons didn't want them on the label but I might be wrong-I think he didn't dig the satanic stuff and didn't think a metal-band was right for the labels profile but it actually helped the band from a critical hipster perspective because Def Jam was SO hip in those years so when a ''cheesy'' metal-band got that backing, even the ''cool'' people became curious...
