Frank Sinatra had a long career, with plenty of hit records, but "My Way" will forever be his signature song.

When it's all said and done 15-30 years from now, what is going to be THE song that rappers will be most associated with?


For M.C. Hammer "Pray", "Have You Seen her" and even The Adam's Family groove song all peaked higher on the charts, but he will FOREVER be associated with "You Can't Touch This"


For some Rappers it's easy since they only had one REALLY big song
(Sir Mixx A Lot, Skee-Lo, MC Skat Cat)

It'll be interesting to see how some of these formerly HOT stars of hip hop get remembered.


For DMX I got a feeling "Party Up" will be the song he's linked to in pop culture. Both my Mom AND Kurt Angle like this song!

I would love for it to be "A Milli" but I suppose that song is too specifically rap-focused and for whatever reason a lot of people find that beat unapproachable.

I know that in MY experience with Wayne, as a kid who was in high school during his stretch run, it was "Go DJ", "Upgrade" and "Live from 405" that had the most impact, but I'm sure only the first song has stuck in the greater public consciousness since the other two were ultimately mixtape remixes of other people's hits.

its only 26 years old but if you were to listen to radio hip hop and then this it just sounds painfully old. the tempo, samples, pace, rhyme scheme, etc.

I was too young and too Midwest and all the way missed that song, and I think "Banned from TV" holds up way better in 2018, but the way Mero was talking about Superthug on the podcast this week leads me to believe that song definitely matters a LOT to a LOT of people.

I'd way rather say it'd be "Sprinkle Me" or "Rapper's Ball" but for a lot of people "Tell Me When to Go" was the only thing they took from the hyphy movement, and people still love to imitate that era of E-40 and attribute "ghost ride the whip" to him and that song.
