not in the numbers we used to have but we out here. Fillmore, Sunnydale, Friendship Village and the Point are all still here in some capacity. Lakeview is gone but that was already happening.
I'm from the city of sun and seas, wind breeze, money make love turn to enemy, highest crime rate in the vicinity

even back in those days trains would be crowded. Maybe not like it is now but still crowed standing room only. The trains in the video seem to be going the opposite of Downtown Oakland/San Fran commuter traffic. Or it isnt commute hour.

it's definitely pittsburg-baypoint and fremont lines.
i just wanted an excuse to gripe.
but yeah, ridership's up 30% in the last 4 years, shit's breaking down more than ever (tho new trains are coming), fares are going up again...yet employees keep getting ridiculous raises to do nothing except be lazy and wait for dat pension.
we'll see what the $3.5B bond that passed actually pays for. rumor is 1/3 of it's going to salaries.

>back in the days (as in 8 years ago) west oakland station >would be a fuckin' desert
yeah, i definitely miss the commute during the recession. goddamn it was so hassle-free. almost makes you wanna root for another one, in a perverse kind of way. lol.
back then you could get on at rockridge and find a seat... maybe have to wait until macarthur when folks got off to transfer and that's it.
i'm glad they finally pulled out seats to make more room.

I went to the Mission YMCA summer camp during the early 90s. We took the BART from Glen Park station, got off at RockRidge station and walked up to Lake Temescal for swimming.

Last time I was out there on a Pittsburg train needing to get to Berkeley I got off @ 12th for the transfer and the Richmond train left me. It would've waited @ 19th, I heard. It used to wait @ 12th.

I wonder why they never said 19th st is a transfer point although you can use it as one. Sometimes in the morning the Richmond and Condord trains would arrive a the same time upstairs and roll side by side and go seperate ways after Mac Arthur.
Remember when the West Oakland station was called Oakland West? My and one of my patnas would make jokes about that.

19th is the official transfer station for northbound/eastbound trains now. They made a change a few years ago. I agree - when it was 12th we could also use 19th but it was not a guaranteed transfer bc the trains wouldn't wait for each other @ 19th like they did @ 12th.
