"worst racism i see comes from black people (c) sage steele"

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/feb/23/sage-steele-biracial-espn-host-worst-racism-i-see-/

ESPN anchor Sage Steele charged during a recent faith forum in Florida that the worst racism she’s received as a biracial TV personality has been from “people with my skin color.”
Mrs. Steele, the daughter of a black father and white mother, commented on hypocrisy in the black community while moderating the Feb. 16 “Under Our Skin” forum at The Crossing Church in Tampa, The Christian Post first reported Monday.
“There are times that I believe that we, as African-Americans, can be hypocritical, and that is to not look ourselves in the mirror when we are saying certain things and blaming other groups for one thing when we are doing the exact same thing,” the “SportsCenter on the Road” host claimed.
“The worst racism that I have received , and I mean thousands and thousands over the years, is from black people, who in my mind thought would be the most accepting because there has been that experience,” she continued. “But even as recent as the last couple of weeks, the words that I have had thrown at me I can’t repeat here and it’s 99 percent from people with my skin color. But if a white person said those words to me, what would happen?”
The forum, named after Benjamin Watson’s 2016 book “Under Our Skin: Getting Real about Race,” included the Ravens tight end as well as Hall of Fame football coach Tony Dungy, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Warrick Dunn, CBS sportscaster James Brown and University of South Florida head football coach Charlie Strong, The Christian Post reported.

the worst racism she SEES is people yelling jungle fever when she walks by? lol

through their entire lives.....

I don't doubt that they get it rough in grade school, and it pretty much shapes how they deal and approach interactions with black people for the rest of their lives. The scars lead to a lifetime of hard feelings and reproach that they simply can't suppress as they get older. That translates to simply not being able to get along with people that remind them of people that hurt them in the past....endless cycle.

sure she may get racist remarks but it's usually after she's made some ridiculous statement. nobody cares she's married to a white dude, biracial couples are so common now it's not a thing and I live in Memphis lol

"Black people are more racist."

No....just because Black people say things to you that you never hear from White folks means NOTHING. My boy said this once, because his dad would always say things like "I ain't going to Lawndale with those stinky white people" or "I don't wanna hear no White Boy Rock n Roll music." And...it's...just so many thousands of reasons he has it twisted for feeling that this type of thing makes Blacks more racist. Not even worth explaining.

"Race" was created by "whites" as justification
for subjugating and mistreating those they classified
as not white. There is no racism outside of white supremacy.
Non-white people mistreating anyone based on these
classifications is a SYMPTOM of racism.

I'm all for putting the focus where it should be,
and calling these things what they actually are.
Race and racism are a WHITE sickness.
The language we use and the way we describe them
should reflect that.
