i thought maybe we were going to discuss it.

it was a good weekend filled with family, friends, food and booze. spent the day at my FIL's house, which is almost like being at home because it's so laid back there. skins fought hard and lost, but my Tide keeps rolling. overall it was a great weekend and i wish i was still at home enjoying it.

better?

my fam was a no-show.

every day after thursday has been as follows:

herb, coffee, gym, leftovers, wine, leftovers, wine, herb, sleep repeat.

One night, I knocked off a bottle of cab and woke up the same night thinking it was the next day. I was yelling at everybody for makin' "...all that damn noise this early...in the....aw shit!.."

I had a ball. Watched football on a 75inch TV in theater recliners.

Watched my baby girl play with her cousins.

Walked on the pier at the coast and enjoyed the 75 degree weather on Friday.

anymore...I love my family

I was taught everyday should be "such and such" day, but it's hard when keeping company with those you love.

Which reminds me, I think my son was twelve when I stopped celebrating Christmas...I'm going to asks him how he felt about it.

I don't really get to eat food like that too often, so I enjoy it. Not to mention, it's when I get to see my relatives all in the same place at once, and eat as a family.

when my moms was still here, she'd do seafood saturday on the saturday after thanksgiving. thursday was traditional for everybody else and then i'd come in town that saturday and we'd do it big with the seafood.

doing it that way gave us the seafood we all loved while maintaining tradition on thursday. plus leftovers from thursday had to be gone on friday since there'd be plenty of new food made on saturday.

I'm the "Mean Ass Uncle who enforces the rules".

I explained to him that he doesn't always get to win, or quit when he loses. Then I hit his little ass with a Draw Two, reverse, and then a Draw Four.

It was more funny than unpleasant, but this kid tried to cheat using multiple methods. The ol' 'accidentally picked up two cards off the deck' trick too.

When mine was very small I might let her win every now and then so she can get a taste of it. But I'm known to family and friends as the enforcer of the rules. You wanna win and life you gonna earn this shit, and not throw a fit doing it either.

Same here. If you're old enough to know the rules and play without cheating? There's no way I 'let' you win. That's the way shit works in real life, right?

he used to scream like a possessed demon when he was a baby. he would be stiff as a board when throwing a fit.

one of our elders gave a speech as a friends and family event at church. Asked if anyone has never been embarrassed before and 3 kids around the age of 12 raised their hands.

his response. "Oh, you will... and prolly by a girl."
