You should really go fight the good fight for some animals that would most likely kill you the second you turn your back.

Like it's crazy to me for grown people with some life experience to not read that story with some critical analysis. Tape may come out to prove me wrong, but I think this was a fight that went wrong, and when they smashed her face into a sink they weren't trying to kill her.
It may be a small distinction, but in my mind there is a distinction between trying to kill a girl by stabing her to death with pencils and ramming her head into a sink and a fight that went wrong.

My point is simple. Not all "information" is the same. I think people should be skeptical of uncorraboated anonymous reporting that she was stabbed to death with pencils.
We all know kids get jumped and get into fights. And if I had to guess based on available information, they jumped her and in the course of it she accidently hit her head on a sink and died. It's tragic enough without making up details.
I am not saying these girls shouldn't have to answer for that death. Jail time I think would be appropriate based on what we know so far.

My guess is their overall culpability goes down significantly.
I'm glad for them that the pencils shit didn't turn out to be true because I don't think I'd be alone in wanting to throw the book at them and I imagine that would be an under the jail sentence.
Shit is still heinous IMO and I still think they need to get the stiffest sentence possible. The fact that they jumped her still makes them monsters in my book. Anyone who participates in that sort of fight is a monster, but these girls might actually get a shot at redemption due to the heart issue at play. Let's hope they all make use of this opportunity.
Charges have been filed against three Delaware girls in connection with last month's high school bathroom fight that killed Amy Joyner-Francis.
In a statement to PEOPLE, the Delaware Department of Justice released the cause of the teen's death. "The autopsy did not detect any internal injuries or significant blunt force injuries," the statement reads. "The Medical Examiner determined that Amy died from a cardiac incident that she was vulnerable to because of a pre-existing heart condition, but the cardiac incident would not have occurred if she had not been assaulted."
The statement goes on to explain that only one girl is alleged to have actually struck the teen. She has been charged with criminally negligent homicide.
Because of the severity of her offense, the 16-year-old girl will tried as an adult in the Superior Court. If convicted, she faces up to eight years in prison.

Two other girls were charged with criminal conspiracy. "Delaware law does not allow for a charge of conspiracy to commit negligent homicide," the Department of Justice said in the statement. The two girls will be charged as juveniles. If convicted, they face up to a year in prison.

Multiple news outlets have reported the bathroom fight at Howard High School of Technology began over a boy. PEOPLE will not name the alleged assailants because they are minors.
