...a big one is that life is truly out of our control at points. We can plan and prepare but things invariable pop up that we never see coming. Good and bad.
I'm on a good wave right now, but fully aware shit could go south in a heartbeat.
The realization is also that I can and will handle shit that goes bad.

One of my oldest friends is here for two weeks for work. We haven't linked yet but it's going to be great when we do. Looking forward to it. Our lives totally didn't turn out how we thought they would. He was the rebel growing up. I was mr straight laced. Things are kind of the opposite right now. Lol

Someone I'm working with has a friend that I'm interested in from a distance. We're cool but not cool enough for me to ask her to introduce us. I see them together out at events on IG....but whenever I see her out the friend is never with her.

This town is also too small.

hired me for a few other gigs she had connects for. Always comes to like 80% of anything I do. I wasn't never attracted to her like that, but she thick.

I was doing a spot a month ago that I Ubered to, and I was drinkin pretty hard. She asked if I wanted a drink, n I was like "I'm done here, but I might drink more when I get home. You want to come by?" and she said yea, without question.

She came by, and she gave me head...I don't even think I fingered her. A week or so later, hit me saying she enjoyed the hook up but didn't want me to view her differently, and that she likes me but knows it's all casual fun.

Then, she came to another party two weeks after that, and I hit up 4-5 girls who were there that I wanted, but none were with it...so I hit her up, and she came by again. She domed me up in the shower, rode me to sleep, alla that.

Now, she texts me EEEEEVERY day about any and everything. And still comes to every event. Last week, there was a new chick I just started hanging with who loves being RIGHT next to me as I DJ...I don't trip, she look good so it makes me look better. But the fan came....when she realized it, she literally stood RIGHT IN FRONT of me the entire night and danced in front of me.

So yeah. It wasn't the smartest move for me to make. She knows the deal, but still...woulda been better off left as a fan.

A few months ago, I honk at some white dude who is cutting me off because he doesn't understand the merge lanes for the left turn. He is completely in the wrong But really thinks he is right.

I pull up along side him and say What the F*ck. He rolls down his window and starts cursing me out like a sailor, challenging me to fight the whole 9. He is spitting venom and turning red.

BUT here's the kicker at no time during his rage does he call me the N-Word. Not even close.

So I stop yelling back and Smile and tell him to have a nice day.

I was actually happy about the entire exchange because two people of different ethnicities in America had heated argument and nobody dropped anything racist. Made me feel likes there is hope for racial harmony. Even during a road rage event. LOL

Vegas used to be a big deal because of how far away it was from the east coast. now it's a 45 minute, $100 RT (if you leave on a weekday) flight and it's just not that special anymore. I havent been since 2012, Im going in 2 weeks but it's not something I need to do even annually

I feel both proud and successful and like I'm dreading the moment people find out I've been faking it the whole time. It stresses me out, but I also think it keeps me grounded and not complacent.

Shit was captivating. For some reason I've been like really really into the appeal/retrial process and been going through all the post season ending articles and even the reddit about the case. (I generally dislike reddit, typical cesspool of internet savages, but that reddit has been pretty good)

Do I think Adnan did it? I don't know. I'm leaning 65% towards yes, but I do believe that he seemingly shouldn't have been convicted because there was enough reasonable doubt for an acquittal.

I know some of the recent developments have people saying its was a possible a serial killer, but I can't really fuck with that. If it was a totally outside person, how did Jay know where the car was?

Do I think Jay did it alone? Naw. I've read a theory that Jay was cheating on Stephanie and Hae was going to tell her, and she was going to tell the police he was dealing marijuana out of his grandmother's house. Don't really believe that. Why would Hae meet up with Jay to tell him that knowing that she had to go pick up her cousin? Seems like something you would do when you have time to go over the bullshit and see if Jay can refute the accusations. I've also read that it was Jay and Jenn, because they were cheating together. Again, Jay is not a moralistic nor straight edged person, but it seems a bit much to kill somebody because they're going to expose your cheating. There's a big difference between selling dime bags and killing a person.

The most farfetched theory is that Jay and Adnan were gay, and they killed her because she found out. Adnan and her had broken up by then, and she had moved on to other dick (Don). She was done with Adnan and on to the next one. Don't believe that idea particularly because we get no further evidence after 16 years to support that either one of them were gay, and they didn't come across as being close in an intimate way.

I will say Adnan is really likable, intelligent, and charismatic and if there is one criticism I have of the series it's the fact that Sarah seemed to like him so much that she came off kinda biased towards him. I can see how though because he's just so damn personable.

Ultimately, I think both Jay and Adnan are lying. It's pretty obvious that Jay was coached by the police so that his story gave more power to the prosecution, but I can't say to what degree. On one hand, I really hope Adnan is innocent because he doesnt come across as a killer, but it would be such a disintegration of justice to spend so much time in jail as a kid/adult and it would be fucked up beyond belief. On the other hand, there are several supersized holes in Adnans case so I can't say with confidence that he's innocent. Like the producer says, if he is innocent he has the worst most shittiest luck in the world.

For the first time in like YEARS!!! Not since I said, "I Do" and even then I was a bit hesitant. But now, I admit that my heart is all filled up. And it's great because with age me nose is not open.

Sooooo...my mother in law had her physical therapy assessment today. And of course...she had to lie. And, I had to tell the therapist the truth. SMH.

We spend half the appointment (30 mins) just talking, and the other 30 minutes was the assessment. After...she's talking about how tired she is. When I say the urge to smack her was so strong... Of course I didn't. I just called her full of shit (in a nice way, all respectful like). She didn't do anything.

The thing that has got me up in arms about this is that she now needs help with her therapy. She's supposed to do it every day. And who is she looking at to help her...

I'm not doing it. She can find her a trainer to do it. I refuse. You wanted therapy, you got it. But, we've been through this before. And, I know how it's going to end up. I "barely" work you. She complains that "it's too hard", and I take time out of my day to help and it's not appreciated. So no...I am refusing. She can hire someone to do that mess with her. I refuse. And, the sad thing is she will pay someone hundreds of dollars to do the exact same thing I would do...but she won't pay me...because I'm her daughter-in-law and I'm "supposed" to help. FUCK THAT. I'm not doing it. I'm no longer taking time out of my day...when I could be doing my homework, to help someone who won't commit to doing the work. And, complain about it even though it's what SHE ASKED FOR. FUCK THAT, I am NOT DOING IT!!!!!

i mean i get having a woman does require time they feel is better spent on getting their stuff together but if homegirl isn't asking more from you and she understands that and lets you cook what the problem is?

life gets hard and that's when a relationship can be great -especially when that person is supportive and even helping you. can't work 24-7. it's not possible.

so it made me sad. mainly b/c that's been my situation w/ dudes in the past year or so. none of them had traditional careers and were in growing stages and as soon as they hit a low point, it was over. the last time it happened i actually did myself in b/c i had given him an idea and he was so consumed by it, he wanted to leave my house and work on it. LOL. then we talked it out and decided to end things. i believe in him and i know he's going to make it and i'm actually trying to help him w/ that by throwing business his way. not b/c there's still feelings there but because that's just what i feel is right. it's a tough city and there aren't many of us left still trying to get their hustle on successfully. we have to help each other.it sucks it didn't work out but i can't hate on someone trying to make their mark in this city b/c they don't want my bod. lol

i have ambition too but i need balance. especially since i'm balancing 2 careers.
