All I remember is the car was red. May have been a Chevy or a Pontiac... coulda been a 2 or 4 door car.
I was too focused on this dudes Army gear to pay attention and he may have been Navy or Marines.
I really don't know.

of the plate but knew enough of the vehicle to know the make and model
I've also seen an accident in front of me that as soon as it happened i instinctively started reciting the license plate in my head. I was driving myself so didn't bother to write it down plus the car ain't seem like it was going anywhere.
I think the trickiest part with license plates is what you think you saw vs what they actually are. It could be like the last line of vision chart.
In all these instances though i ain't never stick around as a witness lol.
But yeah, the original post said if you saw a crime committed + the getaway car...so i'm assuming a knew a crime was being committed at the time.
Edit: forgot about the time i saw a dude breaking into a car on my homies block. I called the cops and had dudes whole description down approx height and weight, color, pant and shirt color....all 911 wanted to know was what i was wearing. I told them please hurry i think he has a weapon ( I regret that now) and hung up.

(w/in a 2 year timeframe) of just about any car on the street.
but, i'm "into" cars so that makes sense. i'm actually really into car design so i pay attention to a lot of things that can distiguish car makes and models and years outside of just their look (headlights, tail lights, wheels, etc.)
