"I am considering doing a cleanse in January. Join me. "
I am already down for doing a no booze January. Last year's was a huge success for me. When I discuss it with other folks everyone mentions I should step it up and doing a full on cleanse.
This guy was telling me about doing a no booze, no sugar, no gluten cleanse and in 4 days he felt like superman. His energy levels jumped dramatically.
I am considering trying something like that. Anyone here done a cleanse of any sort? Anyone got a good cleanse to recommend?

a green smoothie a berry smoothie eggs maybe a slice or two of bacon for breakfast salmon, tilapia and rice and beans or shrimp (fettucine, pad thai, risotto) for dinner nuts (peanuts, walnuts, pecans) for snacks
that's how i eat everyday. wheat, red meat, chicken, cheese, milk, cereal, processed food all have a very nominal place in my diet.
i've done cleanses. eating like this will have the same effect on energy level/bowel movements literally cleaning you out.
I'd recommend just instilling/experimenting with some new healthy habits.
I'll never go without a green leafy smoothie as part of my diet ever again. Some combination of kale, spinach, dandelion leaves, collared greens, cabbage, beets, some fruit. I drink around a pint per day and it's definitely the best dietary change I've ever made.
I don't use a juicer. I blend that shit the old-fashioned way and drink it as a thick liquid.

if you want to get healthier there's definitely things you can do like changing your eating habits and getting more exercise, but doing a cleanse is not one of them.

So that alone felt like I accomplished something.
I absolutely felt like I had tons more energy. I remember poppin out of bed just because I felt like going running and I never do that.
Also, it had an impact on my drinking for the rest of the year. I did ever so much less casual drinking. Less drinking out of boredom or habit (A couple of beers on a Saturday afternoon).
Of course as the year is ending I am falling back into old habits but I feel like a January no booze would be resetting the clock for the year.
