Everyone always says never wash stonewear with soap because the soap residue will remain in the thing and alter the food going forward. Anyone know how to de-soapify this thing?

if it's granite, it should be fine. try grinding up some rice in it then...

my wife washed mine in soap and water once. I boiled water in a tea kettle and poured it over slowly. Soap was gone.
