"things that you are bad at but have a fun time doing."

i was kicking my buddy's ass in call of duty.

he'd just learned about the gun game, so he's rusty on all the weapons.

needless to say, I whooped the shit out of him.

what stuck out to me was the amount of fun he was having, even while being terribly bad at it.

I'd blow him up immediately when the match starts, and he's just a giggling and falling over himself in enjoyment.

i said 'dog, you some shit at this - how you having such a good time?'

he's like 'heee haw, i don't know. but im having a ball!'

...

are there any activities you like to do, but aren't necessarily good at?

my list includes:

billiards.
playing the guitar.
playing the piano.

...

while im here, i'd like to send a thank you for my ban being lifted.

i'd just gotten used to not being a part of this community anymore. i tried to log-in randomly this morning and BOOM it worked.

...i guess you gotta have a little faith.

are winning.

My dude and I use to play basketball everyday after school and he would get soo upset when he would start to lose. I think there were plenty of games I think I didn't play as hard just to not hear his mouth.

Maybe that means I am a good sport or...don't have a competitive spirit.

Part of it is learning to lose gracefully and participating in things you may not particularly enjoy/be good, bc people important to you enjoy it

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

i think i really enjoyed seeing him feel good about the situation, despite the soul-crushing sized defeat.

i give him propers for that.

because the flip, really isn't cool.

i can't tell how the 'losing attitude' is developed, but it sure does a number on people.

i'm like the recreational kobe bryant.

I used to have fun but suck at volleyball, ping pong, handball, bowling to name a few...but really enjoyed it and studied and got better.

ie, I was on a resort where they had beach volleyball. I'm generally athletic but wasn't that great at it in the beginning. AFter playing that weekend, i read up on basic stuff and now i'm much better. Not great bc i only play maybe 5x a year or so, but if i played enough, i'd easily get better. Thnking about joining a club or something next summer wit the wife.

but i really hate losing especially if I feel like i don't even know why i'm so bad at shit

I'll enjoy Marvel v Capcom ans shit like that but get destroyed but it's more frustrating then getting killed in a shooter

i'm coming to terms that i'm the slowest "smart" person i know and as someone who is mad competitive and who thinks he's smarter than he is...that shit hurts

so i end up being tier 2 good at a bunch of shit...

the first 2 things that come to mind is pool, ping pong, trivia crack, and most video games

i'm frustrated right now about my last madden loss bc i totally fucked up what should have been an easy win lol

usually I'm a beast but this year? disgustingly bad.

I'm 0-6 and its in a new league... shit is embarassing.

Big Ben hurt
Alshon Jeffries hurt
Steve Smith hurt
Sammy Watkins hurt

I'm still having fun thinking next week I'll get my first W

Every week tho... these niggas let me down
