somebody i know told me recently they had a hot dog at a movie theater and said it was good and i was kinda surprised that somebody would eat one at a theater and wondering is it crazy to avoid certain foods there or not?

i love butter on my popcorn however usually when i go to a big time theater the pop corn is cold and they drench butter on top of it like a dried Jerri Curl and thinking you can spray juice on it and it will have bounce and move.

so i haven't been able to fuck with it in years.

given that popcorn itself is fairly simple. What could be in or on the popcorn to upset your stomach, unless you're lactose intolerant and the butter on the popcorn is the culprit.

it's a pretty big delay too. about 6 hours or so, but when it hit's it's fucking terrible. like the most upset my stomach has ever been. i never really thought about the reason behind it. i just cut it out.

micorwave popcorn does the same thing though, actually. i can eat kettle corn but even that has to be a low amount.

afternoon and night is fine. don't know what y'all did but any left over popcorn we would bag up and heat it up in the AM. it was still good...and we'd mix it with fresh popcorn but at night, that rarely happens.

but the butter was just oil...we kept our place clean...so I don't know why you would say don't eat it...unless your theater was dirty lol.

do spill the butter on that bucket Man

me and the homie went to the theater after soccer, blazed.
The hot dogs on the picture were looking so goddamn good. I could almst see the steam rising off 'em. Manager's Special. 2 hotdogs and a drink. I was like "yeah... let me get that."
Cashier punches it in and says to me "Thirteen dollar please."

Thirteen dollars?! For 2 hot dogs and a fucking soda?!
I was so mad, I couldn't even enjoy the damn movie.

now. Like 8-10 of them...serving premium liquor and PREMIUM premium food, steak, salmon, allllll that now. Got damn right I'm eating, even though it does cost too damn much to go!!

But yeah, I heard the popcorn is always old and is cheap, yet movie popcorn is the best popcorn ever (ok, Garrett's wins)...I used to go to the movies solely for popcorn!

and the fucking director Joss Whedon just rolls in to introduce the movie to everyone..

I guess you wouldn't mind if you had your own plate in front of you, but what if you're just at the theater to watch a flick and you're around all those wafting smells around you. Are the scents noticeable?

Most folks I've seen actually don't order anything major, so I still smell more popcorn than anything.

plus I only check like 4 movies a year in theaters (got my eyes on Mad Max tonight).

but the theater in walking distance is pretty cool, I'm not into the whole "ordering a meal and having a server come up to you with a plate and dessert during the movie" experience which they have but I do quite enjoy the "we have a fully stocked bar right in this same building and you can hang out here all damn day and then see this stupid movie".

kind of amazing it took so long for theaters to try that out on a massive scale, basically every theater in Omaha has a bar and offers some kind of table service now. only the one with reclining seats, though.

maybe never. i always sneak food in. i'll eat popcorn if someone else buys it. actually i'm lying, i bought the popcorn last time i went to the movies on a date and he got hte tickets. but only because he wanted popcorn.

eating an actual meal...in a dark room...in a comfy chair (most theaters that serve real food have nice seats too)...and drinking a beer w/it...will put me to sleep instantly.

i usually eat popcorn (w/butter, thanks) and drink Cherry Coke at the movies. i didn't understand the importance of the Coke until the first time i had a beer and some wings during a movie (Avatar) and promptly fell asleep. and i slept GOOD! after that i came to understand that i need caffeine to keep me awake in a movie theater. and i can't drink beer or booze.

It's a four screen arthouse with stadium seating (they usually play one blockbuster), $9 tickets and a full bar. I've fallen asleep there three times now.

i don't go for that shit anymore. i understand why theaters do it - some customers want the home theater experience when they go out. i'm not one of those customers.

real pretty pictures...but after 45 minutes i was knocked clean the fuck out and i didn't wake up until just before the credits rolled (my boyfriend also fell asleep on it but he too had drank some beers and ate a big sandwich).

but then it happened again at the same theater w/a movie i really liked.

Man when I went to go see The Butler, I was by myself; I stopped and got some Popeye's, and hit the drug store for some candy. As I was walking to the movie the nutcracker man was on the corner, so I bought one from him. Lol

I had a nice little setup for my 2 hour movie. Lol


The ONE damn time I did buy food at the theater I had to check Chris Rock (of all people) because I came back out to get my chicken tenders and he thought I came back out for his autograph! I had to tell him, nobody is stunting you sir!
