"Any tax pros on the boards?"


  

          

For the last 2 years I have not received a tax credit for my son (13). Is there an age cutoff? Im in Illinois.

Google says 17 is the age limit, federally and for IL.

Is there a line you/your preparer may be skipping/missing?

If you're using an actual program has it had its calculations updated before you filed?

Are there any other issues with your child's SSN?


Not an expert, but I did IT support for a tax prep software and those were the questions I'd normally ask.
