Erykah Badu has been revealed as the headlining act for the 2023 LA3C festival in Los Angeles. Returning for the second year, the three-day event shifts from the inaugural weekend with an updated focus on the best of L.A.’s music, food, and film scenes.

Set for Nov. 11- 12, LA3C invites guests to downtown Los Angeles’ Historic Core, activating events at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel, Los Angeles Theatre, Orpheum Theatre, and Palace Theatre. Over the weekend, ticket holders will be treated to a wide range of artists, tastemakers, performers, and vendors to celebrate the uniqueness of L.A.

Alongside the Baduizm performer, Herbie Hancock also headlines, with both playing intimate theater concerts at the Orpheum and Ace respectively. Additionally, Flying Lotus, Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin Nick Hakim, Julie Byrne, and John Carroll Kirby will hit the stage throughout the weekend.

New features to this year’s LA3C include the Marketplace On Main. In collaboration with Biite Club, the specially curated 50,000-square-foot outdoor dining plaza will feature chefs and concepts from across Los Angeles. The Marketplace will also offer a curated bar program, DJ performances by Questlove and Novena Carmel, a live performance by Kamasi Washington, and a weekend closing party with the Do-Over.

Guests will also have the opportunity to shop at the 2023 LA3C festival at the first-ever Bazaar on Broadway featuring Black Market Flea. Additionally, LA3C’s film programming will be presented by Women Under the Influence (WUTI), an organization that celebrates cinema driven by women through bespoke events and media.

The Los Angeles Community Action Network is LA3C’s official non-profit partner. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit this organization. Tickets begin at $75 and go on sale Friday (Sept. 22) at 9 a.m. PT.

LA3C is owned and operated by Penske Media Corporation, the parent company of VIBE.
