Definitely, man. Doin' It Again & Right On were probably my favorites, but this is album is playable all the way through. Definitely going to cop this and support the Roots.

it's been growing on me through the days listens.

But I prefer Rising Down.

Hearing Right On through clearer headphones now brings out the lovely little bits and pieces though.

my favorite track so far. i agree there could be more from thought, but i like the album a lot. i'm pretty sure i like it better than rising down.

yeah, after my first few listens through, my only real complaint is that it lacked a real nasty bt song or even verse. im addicted to the album, but nothing hit me lyrically as hard as 75 bars did last time.

I'm kinda with you on this - as of now. I JUST got the album (been real busy this week) - and screw you Best Buy for jacking up the price $2 since Tuesday - but I am much happier than I was when listening to the snippets. It sounds much more "whole". But overall, it seems like everyone is jumping on this as a classic - and it very well may be, but you got to give it time for that IMO.

My complaints:

-too many features, not enough BT
-Right now, I am kinda more feeling the harder hitting Rising Down (and Game Theory) than the more laid back vibe of this, but that can change.
-no liner notes

I'm not Pro-Dope...just Anti-Wack

THIS IS THE BEST ROOTS ALBUM SINCE THINGS FALL APART!

It probably won't do numbers like TFA, but this is the most complete joint since then.

Congrats to the Roots on this release. Great albuma!

Got Damn, Got Damn, i said Got Damn

They murdered this whole album, front to back. Thank you for restoring my faith in hip-hop, there still are a few heads left. My thoughts...

...the boy Blu sounds way too comfortable in front of the band. Questo should definetely look into making that his next project. His laid back Cali vibe is the perfect contrast to Black's east coast beast mode

...i agree there isn't enough Black on the vocals, but then again, i can never get enought of his lyrics. it seems that the gameplan is to let the guest appearances give Black an opportunity to condense is lyrics into nothing but fire

...the last 2 albums have other emcess spittin before we even hear Black, don't keep us waiting any longer than we have to for the heat

...the Fire should be the next single, definetely my favorite song. "before my time runs out like a myan, i'm gonna show em how i got my grind down to a science"

I can't remember what album it was, had to be phrenology...anyway. I saw the roots perform at the electric factory around the time that Malik started to disappear from the band. When we get out of the show, the bootleggers are selling Malik B albums in the parking lot...WTF. I was like, I just gave the Roots $30...

A sharp contrast to the illadelph era. Same venue, same set-up. As we are walking to the car, there's Malik in the freezing cold, huddled up with some cats just freestyling. I couldn't believe it, one of the realest things I've ever seen...

I hope Black can see now that no-one, not even Quest, elevates his flow like Malik. I'm talking about 100% dundee

Damn Walk Alone and Dear God brought tears to my eyes. No artists EVER other than maybe Tupac(maybe) captures how the people in the streets are feeling an what they goin through, more than the Roots.
Been on ever since "What They Do" an they continue to never disappoint.
