"Bilal/Maysa at the Gem, KC"

Anyone go to 18th and Vine for this? And if you did go, did you stay for Bilal? I've never seen more of a mass exodous from a venue within the first song of any performer. I mean, Maysa KILLED -- especially her Gil Scott Heron cover. And it was great to see everyone diggin on her. But I just wasn't aware of how confusing Bilal's music must be for some people. Sure, the sound guy wasn't the greatest, but he wasn't great for Maysa either. And even though Bilal sustained his stupidity all the way through the distractions I could still see some discouragement in him. No encore, no words or anything at the end. He just stopped and I couldn't blame him. Just wondering if anyone else had opinions on this show.

What was the first song ? Was it that bad ?

I've always think he wasn't for everyone but it's like he doesn't care, he just keep singing however he feels like.
