I've been on a Blackalicious kick as of late. Gift of Gab is incredible, and what more needs to be said about Chief Excel's production. Recently heard some very ugly rumor that these two may never make another album together. Lets Pray it ain't so! Anyway, where do these men rank as far as top Emcee/Producer combos in your opinion? They are certainly in my top 10...Eric B. and Rakim are there, Polo and Kool G are there, Primo and Nas, Gangstarr, and Reflection Eternal.

Well, I don't know if Primo and Nas count just b/c they are not a group, know what I mean. They definitely work well together, but they are not one entity. Polo and G Rap were one entity. Eric B and Rakim where one entity, feel me. To take it even further, Exile and Blu were one entity together, so was Johnson and Johnson.
Nas and Primo never did 1 full album together, know what I mean. I feel you though

I've always liked there stuff together. I've been a fan since the days of Solesides. I hope that rumor isn't true because I'm still on the fence about that new Gift of Gab solo. Oh, and that Chief Xcel x Lateef the Truthspeaker project called Maroons is definitely a slept-on masterpiece.
