Come out with BT and quest doin their thing...first song as a band as a whole was the Seed...They did a soul song which BT sounded nice singing/talking...Tuba Gooding stole the show jumping into the audience with his tuba..good setlist...excellent show better than the first which was great...Biz killed it....Go to the next one you people are missing out...the venue is the smallest you will ever see them play

I was at the first show and it was off the chain! The Roots did songs from almost every album... Black Thought even was spittin Malik B and Dice Raw's verses which was great! Then with Doug E Fresh and Black Thought doin classics... Tariq covered all Slick Ricks lines. First show was sick! I chould not make the second show cause my daughter was born that mourning. I don't plan on missing anymore. I do hope Philly gets a show this winter with the release of 'How I got over"... like a album release party or sumthin.

They didn't play 'how i got over' but they did play New Birth's version of "I Can Understand It" in the beginning of the set. Towards the end of the song, the crowd's cheers grew louder & louder each time they stopped, the band froze, and then continued on.

The Roots definitely held it down the whole night. They played Quills!! (to my suprise!), Tuba Gooding and Kirk both jumped into the audience during their respective solos, and everyone singin along to Biz' Just A Friend was a sight to be seen.

bdietzdeuce2: yeah, the Music Box is gotta be the smallest venue The Roots have played. I seen them perform at the House of Blues (Atlantic City NJ) for the last couple New Year's Eve Eve shows, and I thought that venue was small. But I think you can fit way more people at the HOB than at the Music Box.

Anyone out there know when is the next Borgata show? Didn't see it listed at the borgata website. Def gotta hit up the next show.
