where is the promotion for the roots next album? after this one i wont buy another album from DEF jam period

i brought this same subject up just a few weeks ago and was basically told i was an idiot for thinking the album would actually be promoted.

these days itunes and word or mouth is the only way artists albums are promoted unless of course you are kanye, jay-z etc etc

i don't see any press for raekwon. if you look around, it's not just the roots. and from what i've heard, the album is coming out in november, so you don't want to promote an album (esp. nowadays) too early , esp. when they have built in promotion with fallon 5 nights a week! now, if we don't see or hear anything by early october.....

In todays time I just tend to think most people get there information online. While there are ways to promote an artist online I would just think that if a person was interested in an artist they would do a search for said artist online and get that sort of info (new albums, tours, ect.) I think were a bit past needing street teams and whatnot.

They didnt promote Game Theory, which is one of the greatest albums I've ever heard. Rising Down got the same treatment. Def Jam only wastes money on their "dummy acts". As is shallow artists that will sell to the kids being taught to be "dummies" by mainstream influence. Unfortunately, that mainstream influence promotes ignorance-heavy+low-quality product.
