and i could honestly say that it's an event like no other. seeing random artists jam with the legendary is a once in a lifetime experience. this is why i need to go this year!! not to mention this is probably one of their last shows in so cal in a while cause of the jimmy fallon gig.
some highlights: -travis barker's drum off with questo -corinne bailey rae doing "if you want me to stay" by sly -anita effing baker -other artists like doug e fresh, mc lyte, kweli, seal, bilal, patrick stump,
... 2006! Of each I attended, there was an incredible magic that night, CLOSELY followed by 2005! That was a great year for me PERIOD! 2008 was just HECTIC, but the show itself was great too! Plenty going on to 'preoccupy' you from the stage too (though I didn't stay long). Didn't make it to the 2007 one (shooting stuff on the east coast), but I'm sure it was stellar.

the years are running together, but if it was, I SO agree. That was THE best. Snoop, yo yo, Warren G all performed. Big Daddy Kane made me shed a slight tear that night.
if i dreamed natural dreams of being a natural woman doing what a woman does when she's natural i would have a revolution Nikki Giovanni "Revolutionary Dreams"
