"The Roots: Things Fall A Preview (Mixtape by DJ Jazzy Jeff) (links)" Mon Oct-06-08 10:35 PM by handle
A BIG shoutout to tREBLEFREE for sending me a SEALED copy of this mixtape. It's almost 10 years old!
The Roots: Things Fall A Preview MCA-4P-90170 Mixed by Jazzy Jeff Promo only sampler given out when TFA came out.
I was at the *big* HOB show in LA and was too busy having a good time to grab this tape. This, the Things Come Together, and 24x36 and bigger posters of all FIVE of the album covers. I've never seen any of those since that night.
Scans are included in the archive(s), but here they are sepeartely:
Chain: Sony KA1ESA with Dolby B engaged (rca out) ->(rca in) Harman AVR 130 receiver (SPDIF out) -> Mac Pro (SPID in) -> Audacity -> Combined into a single file, Normalized and saved as WAV -> FLAC and 320CBR MP3
And again, thanks to tREBLEFREE.
And if you down the file UP this post by replying to it with a thank you, or a link to another goodie.

i actually have 2 versions. same music, only slight (and i miean slight) difference in the cover.
anyways, i have this on cdr, but never knew it was actually given out with an actual cover. i dont collect roots cds much anymore, but now i will look for this. i would love to find one of these still around.
also, since you have the site, there is a cd (compilation--name escapes me right now, but i have it at home) that has "dont see us" listed under it's original title "peas and cues"

I think it's on The Urban Networks Rapology 13 Volume 2, but I have never seen one in person.
