"learning curves"

let's talk about them
they are the reason i don't try to learn new software or hardware
the time it takes to learn how to do somethin' on somethin' new when i can keep doin' it on somethin' old doesn't make sense to me to waste
i could be creatin' instead of learnin'!
now if it's learn as you go and create, then that's different, but it never works like that for me
it's prolly the reason i haven't used this ableton live and reason yet...or even learned how to work protools
i'm content with cubase sx

I have the Knowledge, God.
If you ever seen Scratch or Killa Kell (beatboxing)
or DJ C or similar do a live set, you would
understand the power of spontaneous looping to create
full tracks live on the spot.

Peace.

I know way too many people who get caught up in downloading plugins, constantly moving to the latest application they can get their hands on, always saying "i'd be able to make dope music if I only had X..."

If you don't have the time or the discipline to learn all that shit and still make music -- Reason is one of the best applications out there.

and two of the most powerful, especially if use them together.

Ableton is especially misleading, cuz it's SO simple, that you actually have to adjust your thinking.

Reason is as deep as you want it to be...i've been fuckin withit since version 1, and one can do some complex shit, or some straightahead shit.
