I had a 2000xl and I remember it giving me the option to save either as a SND or WAV.

There was a program for PC that converted those files. I forget the name but I'm looking for it now.

there are programs out there, usuall as shareware, that can do it. my advice: always save as .wav files, because not EVERY program or sampler reads akai files.

create a sequence and go to the Record screen and run the output through the Main Out option at the top.
Press Record and them play your sequence. It will start recording as soon as it hears sound.
If you've got enough RAM, you can record at longer times, but if you don't it's still good for about 45 seconds.
