"Do u organize samples by their respective keys...."

.Take vocal samples for example...
Do u have all the samples in the key of F for example in a folder...?

Reason i ask is that...i've always wondered how cats piece together different vocal samples and they're all in the same key...
Do they seek out samples in the same key or do they transpose them then time stretch them down to the correct tempo?

I always organize samples by where I sampled them from... if I'm piecing together samples from different songs, I'll always transpose them.

I pretty much do it that way too. You just need an ear to tell if it sounds good.
