What do you guys usually do with a beat if you're not really feeling it, do you put it on a beat tape/cd anyways thinking a rapper might find it interesting or do you toss it out?
My beat in question is on my myspace page if anyone is at all interested in hearing it.
Nah, never that, i jus put it into the folder with the rest of my beats and play them to only a few people to see if they're any good in somebody elses eyes, but never toss em out.

Theres alot wrong with today. It kills to ignore it but it doesnt hurt to care.

Is it dope, but not really your thing? Or is it your thing, but kind of wack?
"Not feeling it" and "mediocre" are two different things. If you can't decide, send it by a few friends whose taste you trust. I did that with one beat I wasn't feeling, and turns out it fits a real niche for other people.
