Logistics:
This is a Collaboration Tournament. Get an Emcee, or get a Producer.. you have 1 week to find a partner. We'll start right away if 4 folks sign up quickly. You will go up against another duo. If you can produce and emcee all at once... I think that's cool too.. Good idea or bad idea? Should we only accept collaborators or is one person allowed? Participants will be picked on a first come, first serve basis.. Winners will be judged out of a possible score of 40.
Emcee - Out of 10 Producer - Out of 10 Chemistry - Out of 20
Total - Out of 40
There are 3 levels of competition. The first is the Collaborative effort which is the Golden Hen of this tourney. You and your partner will be the champions. You will have all the respect and all the honey's. However, if you are on the losing team, you and the producer will have the opportunity to enter a side contest for Emcee's and Producers only. Meaning, that you will not have to partner up with someone. You can pick any beat, and producers can submit instrumentals.. If you win the side contest three times in a row... You will enter the Main contest once more, ahead of anyone who is waiting. In total, there are 3 levels of competition as I mentioned.
I guess this will only work if everyone gets involved. I'd love to see cats like buildingblock, jp, TONE, Aeon.. etc.. participate cause I think they got some fire they wanna spark.. am I wrong?

versatility is key but built around the same theme, the sample.
try to incorporate as much of making music process as possible.

I'm still working on production and getting better, and although I emcee and freestyle, I don't have the equipment to record good sound and I really HAVEN'T heard myself recorded as of yet. So yea, I'll spectate for this one.

Please keep in mind, that you cannot Enter as a Producer and an Emcee with different partners. If you commit to this tourney, you are to have 1 partner or enter yourself. A lot of capable people can produce/emcee and I don't see why this would be a problem. I'm looking forward to this. Stay tuned.. We are going to have fun..

no.. you can enter as yourself.. i think it takes a lot of skill to produce dope beats and if you can cook em and spit on em.. well.. than you are doing well... peace!
