Truth is, you prolly just want to turn stuff down.
Mad professional engineers talk about they mix at a conversational level, monitor-output-wise...crank it up for a moment for sonic comparison, then bring it back down.
not like anyone cares but i personally like mixin in my headphones at low levels first, then when i feel like im done, ill do the finishin touches in the monitors n BLAST THAT SHIT!!!! haha
