I DJ and i really wanna get into making beats. I have messed with fruity loops but i really need that hands on feel.
What would yall advise me to do. I dont really know anybody who messin' with Mpc's or SP-1200's. So i have no-one to really guide me so i was wondering what i shoould do without throwing a bunch of money right away at a mpc.

if you can read and have a good sense of how to lay drum patterns out, it's user friendly. No sampling or anything involved. It has instruments sounds AND drum sounds. with a midi keyboard, you can makes some decent tracks with that thing.

i wanna learn the mpc is what i am saying but i there a wy to learn without shelling otu the money. like cheap place to cop one online or something like that.
EBay you might be able to get a reaonsably prices used MPC. The net has a wealth of MPC tutorials and I'd bet youtube has some as well. Its going to simply take time and experimenting, which is good. Just look at it as something for fun and dont kill yourself if you arent bumping out crazy ish right off the bat.
