I thought it was amusing but maybe a bit much. It was possibly my least favorite part of the movie, but I loved the movie overall, so it's alright with me.

My main fault with 1 was the Green Goblin. Terrible. So even though I loved Peter discovering his powers and all that, you have to have a cool villain. GG sucked.
Spider-Man 3 suffered a bit from the emo-Pete scenes (which were amusing but a bit much), although the villains were cool as shit.
Bionic Woman (NBC)--Sorry, Michelle Ryan, ilove you DEARLY. you ATE as Zoe Slater for five years on Eastenders...you can act your ass off. but this ISN'T the vehicle for you.. you need to be surrounded by a writing team that is trying to write complex and strong plots..not trying to cater to the T and A audience...do films here and abroad, head back to London to get that work..take what coin you DID make from BW and move on...

The iPod Touch commercial with this infuriating song that sounds like "Hey Mickey", but instead she's singing "MUSIC IS MY BOYFRIEND MUSIC IS MY GIRLFRIEND". And when I say "singing", I mean "screaming in an annoying high-pitch".
Or the one with this douchebag driving through a tunnel at like 100 mph, talking to the camera. And he's saying all the usual bullshit lifestyle stuff like "you can either hit the nail on the head, or you can be the hammer" (whatever the fuck that means), and then he ends the commercial like this:
"the real question is: when you turn your car on, does it return the favor?"
Does it? We're really selling the idea that your car is gonna make you shoot a load now? We're one step away from a chick just bending over and sticking a tailpipe up her box.

And it's just music in the background, and you see a couple arguing, and they seem to be showing her getting on the guy because he has a huge ass record collection, and then she leaves. Then they show her getting back to the place, and she hears his music blasting, but she walks in to see his music blasting on one of those iPod dock things and she smiles because his record collection is gone.
Fuck that cunt for making a man get rid of his records...fuck her in her stupid eye. I fucking hate that commercial way more than a person should hate anything.

Simply because it's all over the place. The family drama is very realistic, the high school stories are beyond melodrama, and the sports stories are Playmakers-esque.
Add in the fact that its usually depressing and I can understand why America isn't watching.

I thought it was a little odd to pick a decades old film for a "worst of 2007" list. Sorry if it came across as an insult.
A lot happens in the movie. It's just episodic in nature rather than corresponding to a traditional act structure. Some of the best movies take the former path.

American Gangster was just so hyped like it was the next Godfather or Goodfellas and that was just too much. Everyone I know who saw AG liked the movie but agrees that it doesn't come close to the level the hype implied.

Just saw it and while the acting was great, good lord it was boring. This film is basically the prime example of why the intellectual elite and mainstream don't see eye-to-eye. The film's humor came from situations that most people would find depressing (and it didn't really do a good job showing the humor in those situations in most cases IMO) and the film had no real point. It kind of referenced it's own middle-class whining but that doesn't fix the problem.
