I've only watched it once, so I can't remember exactly. I know I was like "Oh shit...Chuck Norris!". I think they were in some sort of parking lot at some point, but don't quote me on that. I think I got the movie on tape somewhere, though, so I might give it another try and come back to you.
All jokes aside, though, the reason I don't see how it can be considered 'best anything' is that it featured way too much corny dialogue. The fights were good, obviously, but it seemed to me like it took forever to get to them. And when I'm watching an action movie, I shouldn't have to do the trademark porno ffwd thing. However...I will say the score is one my all-time favorites.

mos def...Hardboiled is a close second for me as well. Chow Yun-Fat is the man. John Woo (before he came to the US) was the consumate action director as far as I am concerned.

If you haven't seen John Woo's (Face-Off, Broken Arrow) Hong Kong action flicks, then you are missing the best action movies ever made. EVER. The best three are A Better Tomorrow, The Killer, and my personal fav, Hard Boiled. Chow Yun-Fat (who stars in all three) stars in this thriller as a cop who is on the outs with his boss, his girl and has just lost his partner (in what is one of the absolute ILLEST shootouts you will ever see). Chow's character is out for revenge and he becomes involved in a cat and mouse game with a gangster who also at a crossroads. Like I said this is a must see- it has subtitles, but the action is such that you won't be distracted.
Hate to follow the flock, but Die Hard set the tone for action movies in the 90's period. Bar none.
#2 I thought was pretty damn good two, but they played with the formula too much in #3 which made it suck (i.e. not confining him to a limited area to kill the bad guys, turning it into a 'buddy cop' type flick....everyone knows McClain is a loner, making him a boozy loser, and the I HATE NIGGERS bit was just unneccesary )

1. An actual movie called Street Fight 2. Street Fighter, based on the popular video game series 3. The Street Fighter, the most bad ass kung-fu movie EVER.

shooting was postponed in nambia (i think, australia wasnt an option due to george lucas booking every studio in the country) because of the war in iraq, and mel has since filled his schedule leaving no room for about a year and a half. How he can pass up a 25 million paycheque is beyond me, they could replace him with Russel Crowe though, he would work.

Brian Bosworth (of Seattle Seahawks fame) is an FBI agent who infiltrates a deadly biker gang. Of course Bos doesn't look anything like a real biker, he wears a button up shirt with the sleeves cut off and some neon headband (the bikers don't seem to notice this though) and becomes so respected he's one of the top guys in the gang. Oh and then the bikers are also at war with the mafia.
