Is there something wrong with me or was this one of the worst movies ever?

this is EXACTLY the same thing i posted on ptp, word for word, after my first viewing of Lebowski. apparently it needs some repeat viewings.

and oh yeah, prepare to be viciously attacked by just about every okp in the building right now (they're ALL fans of Lebowski).

I was JUST watching this last night, cracking the fuck up. Yeah, you gotta watch it a few times before it all settles in. First time I saw it, I didn't understand what my friend was so hyped about it, after a few more viewings, I was cracking up the whole way through.

Trust me, there's jokes up front and throughout that just don't reveal themselves until you've really soaked the setting and characters in.

I give rappers the biz for being m-izza-a-archaic.

Even if the humor isn't your thing, the movie is INSANELY well done. Great acting, FANTASTIC cinematography and use of music... I just simply refuse to believe you think it's a bad movie. You should be able to at least acknowledge that it's a movie where you can understand why people love it, but it ain't your thing.

And it wasn't an uncomfortable comedy where you're not realy supposed to laugh, no, you're supposed to find it hillarious that Walter smashes up the wrong car screaming "Do you see what happens when you FUCK someone in the ass!"

Me? Blink.

Not even remotely funny.

So for that reason, I have to mark it down as a bad movie in my book.

What I said in the Contact post was that I personally felt that Contact was the sci-fi GOAT and the PTP crowd should school me on why I was wrong by suggesting better movies for me to checkout.

Someone even suggested Donnie Darko, copped it, loved it. Contact is still the GOAT. (And I can't find Blade Runner anywhere here)
