DMX and Taral Hicks, and Nas and T-Boz had like, simultaneous sex scenes in the movie, in their respective homes. DMX's shit was like some, jungle animal shit, while Nas & T-Boz was...uneventful.

And the scene with Nas and Shorty from the One Love verse was . . . I don't know. But I appreciated the sheer audacity of Nas putting that scene in a movie.

I think my favorite scene is a rather random one. Early on, Nas and DMX are in the SUV, driving, and the entire ride is just covered in this heavy red color, almost like an exagerrated stop light. Then they pass a blunt, and its smoke in that red is pretty incredible.

Just because the scene ends with this ominous THOOOM sound as he drives by a cop, leading you to believe something might, y'know, happen....and then of course it doesn't, because they're already introducing another plot point that will go nowehere...

None, whatsoever. It's the most disjointed mess of a film I think I've ever seen. And it's still top 10 for me.

bunds crib is all white. everybody is dressed in black, white pool table, huge b/w photo of a black woman on the wall. i thought that was cool. too bad the dialogue sucked in that scene.

Meth basically rolls into dude's turf by himself and kills him at point blank range in a strip club filled with his entire crew
shoots his way out of that, takes a direct shotgun blast to presumably the chest, still manages to make it to his getaway car (Ghostface) and somehow lose a cop car that's directly on his tail
and he's killed by fucking Kisha after she punks him and takes his own gun
same for Ox - he's mowing down Delta Force like it's nothing, screaming at them to even try and fuck with him (the rolling around on the floor bit while not even one infra-red gets a hit on him was a bit much tho)
kills like a dozen of 'em and gets jumped by ol jamaican girl who only has a knife at her disposal

I know there's so wack shit in it (including most parts where Nas tries to actually act) and that the plot can become twisted and ludicrous at times but.......this movie was incredible visually and featured lots of scenes with staying power.
I'd vote for Ox tho, I still reference that from time to time.

quiet as kept, I think X is good (or at least entertaining) in just about every movie he's been in. I sat through Never Die Alone a few months back and was cracking up at some of the lines he delivered in that movie, especially on the voice-overs. It may have been a bad movie but I never thought about changing the channel, I was thoroughly entertained by X's performance as King David.

I really loved the opening scene of course, and the house scene after the robbery. Not to mention the final scene with the new years countdown...I still want the acappella version of "devil's pie" because of that scene.

Shot, action, music drop, everything. Perfect. I still say that this movie - on mute - is a classic. If you subtract the poor acting, pathetic story line and bad dialogue this is an impressive piece of filmmaking. I'd love to see what Hype and Malik Sayeed could do with a real script. Hype says a lot of interesting shit in the commentary
going on about how the original editor's cut was 3 hours long, a scene with them in Las Vegas at a boxing match (undoubtedly a whole 'nother dead-end plot point)
