"Whats a movie that made you cry as a grown man?"

I don't care if you wanna diss me but Tree of Life really got to me, yo. It practically mirrored the relationship I had with my father. I'm just glad I didn't see that shit in theatres cuz I had tears streaming down my face.

I know it's sad, but I remember back in the day this friend was always clowning that movie, going "His glaaaaaases! He can't see without his glaaaaaaasssses!"

Put that with the fact that my mind lumps the scene with Culkin and the bees with Chris Farley in Tommy Boy going "BEES BEES! YOUR FIREARMS ARE USELESS AGAINST THEM!!!!"

lol, I'm cracking up now just thinking about it.

Yeah it's a sad movie though.

as for me, they *almost* got me with that scene with telling of the story about the candelabra being traded for the family patriarch in "Down In the Delta"

note: since I've had my sons the blatant heart-tuggers with dads and father are problematic in general

I've seen Toy Story 3 about 4 times, no part of that movie had me even slightly emotional. Feel me in on what part should I have gotten misty-eyed on.

As mentioned, when Andy is giving his toys away. You see he has a connection with them all, especially Woody, who he doesn't really want to give up.

And when the toys were about to me incenerated. When Jessie asks Buzz what are going to do all he can do is offer his hand. That shit was like 'we're gonna die. All we can do is die together'. Even though you knew they were going to get out of that jam, that scene was tough.

In response to Reply # 0

4 LITTLE GIRLS - the interview with the mother (grandmother?) when she explains how she doesn't hate the people who murdered her child, how it's hard, some days more than others, but she gets through it.
I literally tear up thinking about the scene.
BAMBOOZLED - the scene where Tommy Davidson quits the show, he's in the dance studio with Savion Glover, trying to explain to Savion why they both should quit, Savion's not hearing it, then Tommy puts his hand over his face and goes into his "massa" routine. Watching Tommy do that, go through that transformation, it was so simple, you could argue rudimentary, but he hits this note when he does it that knocks me out. It's the one point where the movie seems to stop for a moment. It catches me every time.

If you would have asked me to pick a director that will make me cry, I don't think Spike Lee would have been my first pick. But those two scenes do it without fail.

I've never been as devastated and furious after watching anything.

AFTERSHOCK (On Netflix) - This movie was created to make you cry! If you don't at least get that lump in your throat, you're dead.

GOOD WILL HUNTING - "It's not your fault Will"

I AM LEGEND - The dog.

TOY STORY 3 - Surprised me. Animation, really?!? Had my sons with me. I held back successfully, but damn it was hard.

Princeguy reviews:

"No pretentiousness.

No pompous re-interpretations.

Sometimes, a movie is just a movie. You work hard for your money.

The decision is yours.

See and enjoy what YOU like."
