DENMARK VESEY

An ex-slave of a slave trader, he knew the wickedness of slavery and that man was not meant to slave for man. It got to the point where Vesey couldn't bear to have a white person in his presence. He was very outspoken with his hatred for YT. When slaves bowed to YT in the street, he would rebuke them. When the slaves replied, "But we're slaves," Vesey would reply, "You deserve to be slaves." An infamous quote of Vesey was when he said, "We are free, but the white people here won't let us be so; and the only way is to raise up and fight the whites." One of his plans was to takeover of arsenals, guardhouses, powder magazines and naval stores in Charleston, South Carolina, but, he too, was betrayed by a house negro. Vesey and 5 of his aides were hanged on July 2, 1822.

U-God's Illest Verse:

I aim slang I maintain, through the main vein/
The answer came clever, when we do greatness through trial and error/
Mile of terror motormouth, let the odor out/
Fumin greater, the temper in my spine human nature/
The super grass childish blast sleepy eye stash/
The hashish masterpiece, Osirus is the virus/
This split second splash, severe drop is near pop
There's fallin teardrops, now is it worth your career?/

Ghost's Most emotional verse:

Call an ambulance, Jamie been shot, word to Kemi/
Don't go Son, nigga you my motherfuckin heart/
Stay still Son, don't move, just think about Keeba/
She'll be three in January, your young God needs you/
The ambulance is taking too long,/
Everybody get the fuck back, excuse me bitch, gimme your jack/
One, seven one eight, nine one one, low battery, damn/
Blood comin out his mouth, he bleedin badly/
Nahhh Jamie, don't start that shit,/
Keep your head up, if you escape hell we gettin fucked up/
When we was eight, we went to Bat Day to see the Yanks/
In Sixty-Nine, his father and mines, they robbed banks/
He pointed to the charm on his neck,/
With his last bit of energy left, told me rock it with respect/
I opened it, seen the God holdin his kids,/
Photogenic, tears just burst out my wig/
Plus he dropped one, oh shit, here come his Old Earth/
With no shoes on, screamin holdin her breasts with a gown on/
She fell and then lightly touched his jaw, kissed him/
Rubbed his hair, turned around the ambulance was there/
Plus the blue coats, Officer Lough, took it as a joke/
Weeks ago he strip-searched the God and gave him back his coke/
Bitches yellin, Beenie Man swung on Helen/
In the back of a cop car, dirty tarts are tellin/
But suddenly a chill came through it was weird/
Felt like my man, was cast out my heaven now we share/
Laid on the stretcher, blood on his Wally's like ketchup,/
Deep like the full assassination with a sketch of it/
And it can't be, from Yohoo to Lee's/
Second grade humped the teachers, about to leave/
Finally this closed chapter, comes to an end/
He was announced, pronounced dead, y'all, at twelve ten/

RZA's Deepest Verse:

Y'all bitches love dances, and pulling down your pants/
while your man's on tour, your spending up his advances/
Your friends ain't shit, all they do is drink, smoke, and suck dick/
The whole projects is trapped in stench/
You either high school drop-outs, one to three cop-outs/
Fifteen years old, shorty ass and top out/
Ninety-nine cent beer drinking pussy stinking/
Fucking so much your ass and titties start shrinking/
New World Order slave trade, minimum wage, Medicaid/
Can a devil fool a Muslim nowadays/ (NOW CIPHER!...thought I'd add that)
Inside my lab, I'm going mad/
Took two drags off the blunts, and started breaking down the flag/
The blue is for the Crips, the red is for the Bloods/
The whites for the cops, and the stars come from the clubs/
or the slugs that ignites, through the night, by the dawn/
Early light, why is suns fighting for the stripe/

Cappadonna's Wildest Verse:

My devastatin hot '97 Mentality/

Heavyweight lyric never lost one calorie/
I'm soon to be seen, on the TV screen/
Gambino Cappacino to the Afro Sheen/
Stay black, where I'm at, high road to rap council/
Splash love to Wu in a orderly tonsil/
Never limit to the diction, cause chaos to mixin/
Brutalize a sound check, ripple through the intermission/
Rap's under siege, held tight like a squeeze/
Forced in the world 'Donna nuclear freeze/
Through the damage to the wannabe Flipmode and Def Squad/
Ruckus a whirlpool in the rap entourage/
If you dare to test thirty-six, chambers of strangers /

Physically attractive, earth-toned skin/

I'm tryin to ram bar down her mental fortress/
Love, my name Lasawn, how'd you like to have my 4th born?

ISLAM stands for "I-Self Lord And Master" or "I Sincerely Love Allahs Mathematics". We...they believe in science and math over religion and faith. The original man has the power of the universe within him hence the term the black man is GOD. The white man was created from the original man by an original man named Yacub(known as Jacob in the Bible). There is alot to learn about before even considering to become a 5%er. Some of the main principles i think we all should know are the 12 Jewels of ALLAH. Listen to the song 12 Jewels on the second Gravediggaz album. Contrary to popular belief Wu-Tang does actually teach in their songs. This is where I learned them. *thinking of basic things* Oh ALLAH=Arm Leg Leg Arm Head=the original man. That's why you may here to 5%ers refer to each other as GOD. Learn the numbers first then move onto the supreme alphabet...shit how could I forget. Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding; and their roles are the building blocks of the Nation. 1=knowledge 2=wisdom 3=understanding...more later.

Some believe 1 and 3 are the same i always understood/overstood 1+2=3. you will learn more building/discussing with 5%ers than you will on the net. Make sure your informant knows what they are talking about. You must crawl b4 you walk. I would also like to build with someone on the subject.

However I do have some issues with it which is why I am not a part of it. but i'll hit you up on your page on black planet so we can build on it.

Yacub's history is a farce. Brother Malcom let's it be known in his Autobiography. I would hope that the 5% doesn't stand by that false history, but with something with more substance...the ideology of it is very uplifting though, and I like others would love to know more about it. Eryka, you out there?

I'm not saying that it is but I haven't seen any information to disprove it. In fact, I am an avid student of history and found much information that shows validity to aspects of the entire YAcub story.

I personally don't believe the entire story but as of recent, I don't DISBELIEVE it either.

Considering that the amount of historical information available today is far greater than the historical evidence known during Malcolm's time is far greater why would you base any historical opinion on a man who had access to far less information than you do today? This is meant as no disrespect to Malik Shabazz (or to you). However to base such an opinion on his wealth of knowledge is not wise.

The year 84, November, day 10
Overwhelmed by the wicked inspirations of an evil jinn
I realize my ideas has spawned for 400 years
Of blood sweat and tears
I saw the tourture brutal murder of my father
So my brain became stained with the horror
I'm having reoccuring nightmares
Of being soaking wet, strapped down to the electric chair
I got tackled with handcuffs
And shackled in restraint
At the bottom of a holy tabernacle
They gave me nothing to eat for two weeks
And sewed my eye lids open so I couldn't sleep
About to die from thirst, that's when the minister
quinched my jaws with a cold glass of vinegar
Upon my wounds they seasoned my with salt
And nailed my hands feet to the form of the cross
AHH!! I cry
As the blood drips inside of my eye
refusing to die
Visions of hell tormented my face
So I chewed my fucking arm off and made an escape.

i'm paraphrasing, but the 5% are the ones w/ knowledge of self, who understand what's going on.

the 10% are the snakes, concealers, who oppress the 85% through deceit and trickery

the 85% are the blind, deaf and dumb, oblivious to who is god.

and what does busta have to do with it? if you dont know him personally, and if you dont know his reasons for believing what he believes, then why should his personal preferences influence you? do disrespect intended, just some questions i had to ask.

Do God body heads still stand behind the whole 85, 10 and 5 breakdown. I was taught by a so called God (i'm not part of the 5% nation) that their name is derived from the following philosophy.
85% of the people in the world are walking in complete darkness and are unaware of the "true righteous" way of life. 10% of the population is not walking in complete darkness. They are aware of the "true righteous" way of life but are unwilling to share that knowledge with the rest of the population. And 5% of the population is aware of and striving to live life in a righteous fashion and are willing to share the knowledge with the rest of the population. Also i was told that the reason why they don't eat pork is primarily because it is a filthy animal but also because it is made up of the cat, rat and dog.
Just wanted to add my 2 cents. If there's any misinformation in here please feel free to correct me. I do agree with some of the principles that the God body heads believe in but there are other areas that i'm concerned about. The whole mad scientist Yacub theory left me some what baffled.

Someone said that ALLAH doesn't = Arm Leg Leg Arm Head. That is what I've always found in every Supreme Alphabet I've seen. That is how it was born to/in me. And The YACUB story. Yacub=Jacob in I believe the book of Leviticus I have to find it and read it again but that is more for those of a higher degree.

Disclaimer: WARNING! This is not meant be offensive in any way. It is only meant to build understanding of a highly sensitive concept. Considering the sensitive nature of the discussion, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

In order for the Yakub story to make any sense this basis must be understood. In the Bible, Jacob (YAcub) grafted "goats." The Bible is a book filled with symbolism and figurative speech. Goats in this sense are meant to symbolize Caucasians. Here's why:
Goats have
1. straight hair
2. highly aggressive natures
3. a natural habitat of hills and caves of cold mountains (Caucas Mountains=Caucasians).
4. a tendency to eat all vegetation of an environment until it is barren, hence they use up natural resources and destroy the land.

This symbolism of the Goat dates back to KMT (ancient Egypt) where the goat was a zootype for SET the brother/adversary of Heru. One of his colors was red. This "warring twin" imagery was transplanted into many Biblical stories including Jacob/Esau. Esau was the older brother (as was SET) but JAcob inherited the birthright (as did HEru). Esau was described as red and hairy (Gen. 25:25) so in a sense Esau was a "goat." (Note that "red" is a reflection of the color Caucasians are when in a hot environment. The perjorative word for white people, "honkey," derives from a West African word that meant "pink.) The Hebraic tradition of "scapegoat" where all of the people's sins is put on a goat that is sent into the wilderness, comes from the expelling the "red, hairy" ones from the village to "purify" it.

This is also shows the origins of the red half-goat, half man, Satan (Set-An, or the Devil.

I'm not saying that this makes the YAkub story as a historical fact (especially since the Bible cannot been taken as an factual historical document), but the historic symbolism is definitely in order.

what you have to understand is that there is much SYMBOLISM, as Solarus already stated within the lessons....you have to take the percentages and math for what they are and how they relate to YOU. In one of the degrees it says that total population of the original nation here in the wilderness of North America is 17 million plus 2 million Indians making it a total of 19 million...that may have been the case when the lessons were put to print, but that isn't the case now. Again, you have to do the math for yourself and then conclude how it relates to you. Everything (just as it is in the Bible) should not be taken literally. That is how alot of people misconstrue teachings--because they aren't thinking of how a certain idea, principal, or degree could mean something other than the literal interpretation.

>i dont really believe
>in any "religion" or feel
>the need to become a
>part of any religious group,
>but i respect those who
>do, to each his own.

And that's peace because neither do we. Again, the Nation of the Gods and Earths is *not* a religion or an organization. Neither is Islam our "religion." It is a culture; way of life. Religion is something you PRACTICE. Culture is who you are; something you LIVE.

>and i know that im
>not the only one who
>feels this way about the
>math, but some may not
>admit it...anyone? comments? thoughts?

Just a few....SO many people listen to a rhyme or look at Wu-Tang/Busta/Whoeverelseishotthatspitsmathonatrack and think that is what the culture/religion/ideology entails. Yeah, they may study, but that doesn't mean that they are teaching truth or that they are representative of that particular culture/religion/whatever. I think that before you come to the conclusion that it's all "bullshit" you should learn more about it. Study it. UNDERSTAND it. At first I was unsure, but that's because I didn't have an understanding. True indeed history has distorted a whole bunch of facts, but that doesn't mean Ima discredit every Bible, Gita, Koran, or religious book...you have to learn something from everything and TAKE THE BEST PART for self.

The understanding that societies are usually run a few who lead the masses and even a smaller few who are the true leaders is what is to be gained from that understanding. I must first state that I studied but do not consider myself part of the Nation of Gods and Earths, so my opinions do not necessarily reflect the NAtions, however no gods' opinion should reflect the entire Nation as the ONLY regulation is the abstinence from eating pork. Each god and earth have their own Understandings.

My understanding of the breakdown was made greater when I saw its greater relevance and similarities to ancient spiritual tradition, particularly ancient KMT. Notice their are three parts to the concept thus it is a "trinity" which comes from the same tradition of the Holy Trinity of Christianity. How you ask? Here's how:

5% = Father = Asar (Osiris)= SPIRIT
10%= Son = Heru (Horus) = MIND
85%= Holy Ghost= Aset (Isis) = BODY

(Also the Supreme MAthematics discuss the trinity of "Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding," and "Sun, Moon, and Star" which all correlate to MAN, WOMAN, and CHILD.)

Asar was the ruler of Egypt who was killed by his brother Set in the Asarian drama. He became the "god of the underworld." He represented the indwelling spirit that governs all of life. The 5% are the individuals who are in tune with SPIRIT and lead from it (poor righteous teachers). Common sense would show that only a few are in tune with this.

Heru was the son of Asar who conquered Set and ruled KMT through the guidance of Asar. Heru represented the Will. Once the Will is cultivated the person can discipline self and subdue any carnal desires. It is only the will that can lead one to seek guidance of SPIRIT. This is also the seat of intelligence. In terms of a nation, those that lead have cultivated the mind to enable them to understand how to lead "properly." However also in the story, Set has cultivated enough "will" to exploit the people through trickery and deceit.

Throughout the drama, Set is winning the war at times and others it is Heru. Set and HEru were twins. Set was ruler of Upper KMT and Heru was ruler of Lower KMT. However in the end when HERU finally seeks wisdom he wins the war, thus becoming ruler of Lower and Upper KMT and rules through his father's glory. Thus Heru and Set in a sense are equal. Only when Heru seeks wisdom and uses his father's power (SPIRIT) is he successful. Therefore when understanding that the 10% are those the know the truth but seek hide it from the 85%, they are those that are using the WILL for their own carnal desires not for understanding SPIRIT.

Aset was wife of Asar and mother of Set and Heru. She corresponds part of the personality (and physical) that seeks the light of the SPIRIT. Throughout the story she is constantly looking for the body of her dead husband. She corresponds to the physical self because it was only through her body that the immaculatley conceived Son, Heru, could be born. In one part of the story she lets Set go after Heru had captured him. This is because of the connection of the personality of physical self to appease one's carnal nature EVEN THOUGH you KNOW overall its harmful to do so. Because she is "seeking her husband," in a sense she does not KNOW where he is. She is "ignorant" to his whereabouts (deaf, dumb and blind to who god is). The majority of people live off this faculty alone and thus always DESIRE something or feel as though they "LACK" something. What they lack is the TRUTH (SPIRIT). One's carnal or physical desires can never be fully satisfied. Also because this is their focus, they are easily led by others like a herd which also shows why a symbol of Aset was the cow.

I am tired of writing. I'll discuss further if need later.

peace, solarus. as usual, you are on point. i have one question for you. according to my studies of KMT, ausar, set, auset and nephthys were brothers and sisters. where have you read that set and heru are both sons of auset (and i would assume ausar)? i'd like to know in an effort to continue my growth and understanding of KMT.

In response to Reply # 25

There were many schools of thought in KMT so the relationships of the deities varied. Also considering that the deities represented certain faculties, their relationships also become more entangled. Off the top of my head, Charles Finch showed the connection between Aset and Set in "Echoes from the Old Darkland." If you look at the name Aset or AST, you see Set or ST. Also Asar derives from Ast. Ast was seen as the "Great Mother." So she was mother of all, however this isn't as prevalent as her motherhood to Set because Asar was usually depicted as being the son of Nut and Geb. But yes they all were brothers and sisters. Set was the brother/uncle of Heru. Uncle because he was the brother of Heru's father, Asar. Brother because he was the son of Aset. Also consider the Heru WAS Asar. Like in the Christian adoption of this concept, the Father and the Son (Jesus), they are seen as one but they have their own distinct features.

Though it seems confusing, when relating the spiritual meaning of these characters to their relationships, it makes much more sense. Their particular (and somewhat peculiar) relationships help to further identify the connection to each of their spiritual meanings.

interesting. i'm a bit suspect of any direct relationship of the 5/10/85 to the trinity. i think to some extent humans just have an affinity for trinities, as man/woman/child is really a natural ordering of things. but since the nation of gods and earths is a relatively "recent" way of life (or interperetation of islam), its also highly possible that Clarence 13X could have deliberately made that connection.

anyway, the christian trinity is definitely derivative of the kemetan trinity of Ausar/Auset/Heru (Osirus, Isis and Horus in greek). there's a book called The 16 Crucified Saviors which breaks down that comparison and also brings out several from other cultures/cosmologies.

its interesting how the romans remade christianity in their own image (eurocentric/patrilineal) by removing the female aspect of the trinity (replaced "Isis/Mary" with the "Holy Spirit") with the Council of Nicea, convened by the emperor Constantine in 325 AD. (they changed a bunch of other stuff there too, but that's another post). there were a lot of christians who resisted that move, which is why you had the persistence of goddess worshippers transformed into the cult of the black madonna.

if my chronology is correct, Ausar/Auset/Heru were later supplanted by Ra. Ra being represented by the disk of the sun (mistakenly referred to by european scholars as sun worship, as if western religions don't have symbols which we use as shorthand for deities, like the cross, the lamb, etc..). Amon Ra refers to the "hidden" Ra, or basically, where god go when you can't see him -- the underworld, also symbolized by nighttime. thats why we say Amen -- its a reference to the god of the unseen. its kind of ironic that both the NOI and Nation of Gods and Earths derisively consider the concept of a mystery god. actually, the "mysteries" or mystery system was the name that greeks at least had as a description for the religion of the Kemetans/Egyptians, which stressed advancement through degrees, the admixture of science and spirituality, and concentric circles of knowledge/understanding, and form the basis for today's secret societies.

> The 5% are the

>Common sense would show that

by the way, the breakdown of Set/Satan was dope. the etymology certainly works. yacub is always the sticking point that i had w/ NOI theology. to be fair, there's all kinda wild, improbable stuff in the bible, torah, q'uran, etc, that i equally don't believe, or at least have reservations about. but if Fard Muhammand (whatever his honorific was, no disrespect), had come to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad one thousand years ago, folks would probably just accept this at face value w/out raising an eyebrow.

there's definitely some intriguing and empowering stuff within 5% teachings (and i'm not an adherent, the only info i have on them has come through study and my interests in hip hop and nationalism), and heads should try to understand it as best they can, even if only to have some frame of reference to know what a lot of rappers are talking about.

w/out them, we wouldn't have many words and concepts which are central to hip hop culture:

Cipher, show & prove, dropping science, build and destroy, dropping math, do the knowledge, study your lessons, knowledge of self.

I agree w/you and Lightyeargroover says something similar below. Too much of the NGE philosophy is "convenient" for the ppl who 1st embraced/advanced it. It's too easy to make "white" ppl the "devil" or to say that This Group of Ppl To Which *I* Belong Are the Only Wise Ones (forgive my simplification). It sounds too much like what was done w/the Bible back in the day. It's too easy.

That right there is what I wanna study in div school. Or, it's one of the things I wanna study in div school. If I really ever go to div school. If div school is the place where I'd study that history. It turns me on so much.

"CURSING ME LIKE HAM CUZ I'M ORIGINAL AND YOU LIKE THE KING JAMES VERSION." Talib Kweli

no vowels in language. the "e"s were added to help with pronunciation by europeans.

I have to admit that perhaps it is a little foolish to take the word of one man. Though in all honesty, how can you doubt the word of an honest man? Yacub's history seems far too appealing for a black man to follow, get me? It's almost the opposite of what white supremacists spout about the "white race" being the "chosen" race. Its not like such "ploys" have never been used in history. And the infalliable Word of God being twisted to meet the needs of often not corrupted men (can we say, "Manifest Destiny"?)

I understand the #'s as far as percentages of those who walk in the dark, those who know of the light, but choose darkness, and those who walk in the light, the enlightened 5%. I actually agree with that.

In no means am I trying to say Islam's (The Nation) ideaology is without any merit. I believe that any and all spiritual paths ultimately lead to God (God's Word is not exclusive, it is found encompassing a variety of spiritual works in other cultures). I just hope brothers and sisters can get together, without focusing on hating another person because of their (in)HERITage. As a people, we're the most gifted/blessed on this earth, that's been proven throughout history...and even if it does turn out that we're superior/chosen, then wouldn't it be beneath us to make such a claim or boast?

"With men this is impossible; but with God, all things are possible."-Jesus

Here we go. Hold to your beliefs, but don't try to judge me on a simple post or challenge what I know of God. God IS no mystery for me. I've never needed someone to "teach" me who or what God is or interpret God's Law. It's all innate...comes with the package when you're born some just choose to ignore their 'spidey sense' haha... But I digress...

"For whosoever shall do the Will of God, the same is my brother, my sister, and mother"-Jesus

So why condemn me if I'm doing the same good work as you? Or vice versa?

No, you don't seem to understand the NGE, or you're trying to convert us heathens. I don't follow them, but one of the basic tenets is that they do not believe in your God. They don't even believe in your conception of God.

It's not a subtle point that i'm trying to make.

So don't try to cast their beliefs as another path to some omnipotent God that all Hindus, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Mormons, et cetera believe in. The whole idea that each is the same path leading in the same direction is insulting.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
People should stop boasting about their forefathers who have died, for they are no more than the fuel of Hell, or they will be more insignificant before Allaah than the dung beetle which rolls up dung with its nose. Allaah has taken away your jaahili (ignorant) arrogance and pride in your ancestors; rather man is either a believer who fears Allaah or an immoral person who is doomed. All of them are the sons of Adam and Adam was created from dust. (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi)
